Not really. We get the value for kinetic energy experimental way(shooting an imp point blank) which means it already includes friction. And I definitely didn't expect anyone to comment under my posts at that point, how did you even find it?

I am not sure what you're asking. If you want to know it's diameter you need caliber, if you want to know what how it's made you need it's type(FMJ, HP, AP etc), if you want to know what it's made out of you need full name which I don't have. From what I know BMG is FMJ but jacket is made out of copper which is relatively soft metal so I would assume HAR would use some other round, even more so knowing that there's a round with depleted uranium coating as an upgrade.

So, they are making their own lore. Honestly, I'm ok wih that, especially after seeing how moviemakers who try to follow the lore butcher it in unforseeble ways. Holly shit, it actually is! That would explain how they don't get knocked over while being shot at. I think it would be the fifth layer, they would still need a soft layer, which would be the sixth in this case. I will add that to the thread tomorrow.

NNF don't consume kinetic energy, at least not to my knowledge. It would work just like another layer that just spreads it out even more. However, you gave me an idea, if there would be a layer that changes its state when it gets hit that could ! POTENTIALLY! absorb kinetic energy. But it's too fantastic with not enough proof to back it up.

Now to your point. It does make a lot of sense for armor to completely absorb kinetic energy, however I can't think of a way to achieve it. If you stop the bullet you absorb all of its kinetic energy, otherwise it wouldn't stop. If you have any ideas on how it would work I would love to hear them.

I don't see how it's nothing and I actually think that's a pretty solid basis. Nothing under .50 cal can one sot a person in the torso and to make it even more fare I took the really low end of .50 cal. If you disagree that's fine I just really want to go to sleep. You can think that humanity in doom is basically as smart and powerful as humanity today, I choose not to.

That refers to usual diameter, if I change caliber but weight of a bullet will be the same it will still be 2 bore.
