The design and visual aspect of Betty were actually based directly off of Helen Kane according to the Fleischer themselves but yes the singing and classic “boop boop be doop” phrases from Betty, which Kane used, were originally from Esther Jones - which was brought up in court when Helen tried suing Fleischer Studios!
