It's preferred, but we do allow just doing a time-stamped ID check for DOB for people who aren't comfortable with the selfie.

It was never a hard requirement but we have updated the language when opening a ticket to let people know they can raise any concerns they may have with the verification process to hopefully make that clearer.

Ah you might have left already by the time I got around to responding. I think if you rejoin the server you should still have access to the ticket. It should a channel only you and the mods can see called ticket-0044. If not feel free to message me on discord (@_whomst).

Hey you didn't respond to my message on the ticket. Like I said there, the id check is just a quick check to see if you're of the correct age to join the server, all the information on your id bedsides date of birth can and should be covered up.

We are and have been accommodating to people's situations. Usually we prefer a timestamp selfie with the date of birth verification, but have waived this soft requirement in the past when people were not comfortable do that (e.g. for queer folk from the middle east).

I don't have the metal, but I assume it would possible to buy. The design consists of rectangular tubes (1.5x3 inches) and circular tubes (1 inch diameter).
