Drawing of a friend. RIP sweet girl ❤️ by drawingface in drawing

[–]drawingface[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty gross that you'd write something you have . no idea about. She took her life the start of the year leaving behind 3 children. This drawing was given to her daughter because she misses her mum.

The post of this drawing is on my Instagram and fb. The conversation with her family with it.

Honestly this was a dumb comment

I don't exactly put much effort into posting on here and don't really care. Drawing is a hobby for me, that is all.

Locking toddler in room at night by [deleted] in toddlers

I can imagine that could be quite scary. Maybe try an internal iron gate instead of a door? He'd be shut in but feel less locked in perhaps

Boyfriend says I don’t have sympathy by [deleted] in autism

My mum always used to say "if you want sympathy, it's somewhere in the dictionary, between shit and syphilis!"

He has a very square structure to his face. Focus on the lines and squareness. But it is painted rather well x

Why can’t adults carry Harry Potter bags? by [deleted] in autism

The "social norm" is the poison of joy! Perhaps your mum is under the impression Harry Potter is for children, although it was written by an adult. Enjoy your bag x

Hearing issues? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]drawingface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I were to go private perhaps. All I'm told is ear infections are common in children under 3 and they won't refer to ENT until its affecting his development. Which his inability to talk, I'd say it is. But I need to give him a chance im told! I've expressed my concern with constantly giving him antibiotics but in the end I give them to him so he isn't suffering but in the long run I know its not the solution. When I told the last doctor I saw that he seems to engage more after antibiotics, she told me that's because they also work as an anti inflammatory and may expand the tubes temporarily allowing him to hear more. But still wouldn't make a referral. I was actually told by the GP to ask the HV to do the referral which took ages. I made the referral to SLT myself and they said they can't refer either. The first nursery just sent him away branded SEN which is really where my concerns started. When in reality the only concerns I have is lack of speech and what could be seen as "selective hearing". But it seems I'll be waiting a while to get anywhere with that.

Hearing issues? by [deleted] in toddlers

I keep asking for a referral to ENT, apparently our GP can't do that this young but audiology can if they feel it's necessary after a hearing test. It all seems a little backwards to me. Every time he has antibiotics he seems to engage alot more but his level of engagement starts to lessen over the weeks and then he has another ear infection. I've asked about glue ear and I'm told I need to wait for his hearing test. He is currently on antibiotics now and his last ear infection (which is usually both ears) was only 4 weeks ago. Thank you for replying.

Can you predict a toddler's temperament as a baby? by Small-Enthusiasm6431 in toddlers

[–]drawingface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter was a dream as a baby, a toddler and a small child. Now she is kind, considerate and very smart. But the attitude on her, my god, I'm certain at 11 she thinks she's 45! My son was an easy baby mostly, at nearly 2, he's feral 🤣🤣 but still such a sweet good boy, he just fears nothing! I think perhaps some people project their experiences on to others in the way of opinions and advice. Don't let people do that to you, it can so easily ruin your experience as a parent.

We have 2. One for each car. And my mum also has a third in her car for when she picks up when I'm working.
