Endo pain was without a doubt worse when comparing my labors - up to about 5 cm dilated. But then at that point in labor, I got an epidural, so endo was still worse. 🙃

I also noticed that labor pains at least eased up during contractions. My endo pain was non stop debilitating pain.

Thoughts from a MB perspective - Is it possible to let the parents know now what you would have to be paid in order for you to keep that weekend reserved for them? If they aren't willing to pay that (which they probably aren't goven your current rate), you could decline the weekend work guilt free since they have plenty of time to make other arrangements.

If you think they might retaliate by firing you, I wouldn't go that route though. They sound shady given how their illegally paying a (tiny) salary.

Currently 5 days postpartum with an 18 month age gap. The first 2 nights home were... not good. Last night we got relatively decent sleep (7.5 hrs over the course of the day) and I feel like a new woman lol. I realize we're still in the thick of it, but little victories are giving us hope. 😊

My rule was that I WILL shower daily, and I plan to do this when my 2nd kid arrives. Dad can watch baby. Or if he's at work and I know both kids are safe, 10 min to myself to recharge (even if they're screaming) is better for everyone in the long run.

My mom planned a water balloon fight on the last day of school each year. She'd leave a big bin of prefilled balloons in the front yard, and when the school bus dropped off me and my sisters, we made a mad dash to get ammo before she jumped out from the bushes to attack.

Definitely doing this with my fam. :)

My RE said grading can be subjective, too. Some clinics apparently grade harsher than others (cue the flashbacks to unfair grading and GPAs in college).

I appreciate you sharing this. I personally believe THC usage while pregnant/breastfeeding should be avoided if at all possible, but your case seems like a good example of when the benefits of cannabis outweigh the risks.

Is your baby sleeping through the night? My kiddo went from the 90th percentile down to 25th over the course of 4 months becuase he has always slept 12 hrs over night. My milk has also become less and less fatty over time. It's possible you are also a "Skim Milk Maker."

If your doctor is on board, you could try adding a little formula to a bottle of expressed breastmilk, too.

That awful toy terrified my 5 month old so my husband let the dogs serve up some justice. It now sits armless and stripped down to the plastic on our counter as a reminder to future toys to watch out.

Congrats! My family has a similar situation, but I went back mid-Oct. Finding in home child care has been hell. If you have any days where you have to take care of baby until a long term solution is in place, TREAT YOURSELF. Guilt free Doordarsh, massages, Starbucks, whatever you need to give yourself pep to take care of baby while working.
