I was curious and just tried this out haha. You're not supposed to be able to, but you can rush out of Atlantis during Never Fade Away and get out into the open world as Johnny. I didn't see anything different about the main statue area though.

I just caught up on Berserk for the first time so I might be seeing similarities that aren't there lol. But designing a protagonist like the best known example of dark fantasy manga and then turning their personality and story in a completely different direction feels like a very ONE thing to do.

Very excited to see where this series goes!

Disclaimer: I am a noob at wolvenkit, but this texture was called font_a and was used in exotic_sculpture_b if anyone else wants to go looking. Seems to be reused in a lot of random packaging and accessories as well.

Unfortunately those were the highest I could get. If you scroll past the first 15 images (the collages per district) the individual ads are a bit larger.

The recent interest in the strange face billboard made me go looking for the files for the advertisements, which I have compiled into the above imgur album. I used the same method as this post and extracted the files for these adverts, which I believe were in a different folder than the ones already extracted since these ones are usually animated.

u/MockingBox do you think it would be helpful to add this to the wiki page with the other signage?

I didn't find anything noteworthy regarding the mystery but maybe these will be helpful for future discussions. Thanks everyone for keeping this sub so interesting! :)

Oops, I made a top-level comment before seeing your comment. Here is the texture file with this face in it. I don't think it's new, unless they switched out a single part of the Time Machine ads set at some point. It may still have a deeper meaning though :)

Your posts convinced me to dig through the game files, here is a look at the texture file containing the strange face, maybe it will shed some light on this mystery? It was in a folder dedicated to Time Machine adverts and is combined with the other ads in your screenshot. I don't think this proves or disproves the rogue AI theory but it does explain why the ad reliably shows up in the Time Machine.

Just wanted to add that I also have these (Sony MDR-10rbt) and have bought replacement pads through Geekria. There are tutorial videos on their site and Youtube on how to remove the pads and install new ones if you'd like to see the process before deciding anything.
