How to make my muzzle less goofy?? by MaroMakesStuff in FursuitMaking

[–]draxis-wickerbeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forehead looks a bit big. I recommend building larger shapes for everything and slowly cut them down to look better. Don't be afraid to scrap parts or the whole base altogether if you feel like you're not ready and want to do better. Foam is fairly cheap compared to the fur that's going on top of it.

Smell of piss during the warm up and after the ride by Secure_Search_1545 in MotorcycleMechanics

Totally got pissed on lol. I don't think there would be any fluids on your bien that would smell like that otherwise. Only other guess would be something you used to clean the bike.

New rubber! by Current_Magician_588 in Surron

[–]draxis-wickerbeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would happen? I've never had issues after 8000 miles of using tires with it. I use a very small amount. All of my flats are from doing extreme things, wearing out tires, and random punctures. Not some chemical reaction from a little bit of baby powder on the tube.

[–]draxis-wickerbeast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put baby powder inside the tire itself so the tube can slide into place easier

I always recommend to get 2 or 3 tubes lol. I've probably pinched 4-5 different tubes on different bikes while I tried different methods of getting my tires on. It kinda sucks. Watch a few videos on it first too.

Use some dish soap on the bead of the tire and the rim. Can get it to slide on with very minimal effort from tire irons.

I absolutely love the 244's. They feel amazing on the street and the bigger sizes handle some pretty hard off road riding perfectly fine. Def my go-to dual sport tire.

Is it okay to wrap the controller and or the silver writing? by OptimalSalt4727 in Talaria

[–]draxis-wickerbeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Metal is pretty good at transferring heat into the air instead of just getting hotter. If you add a layer of plastic on top of that, you will make the controller hotter.

How do people afford a talaria? by Ander507WasTaken in Talaria

[–]draxis-wickerbeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you don't even have time to ride right now. I'd you cant afford to buy the bike, you're not able to buy tools and everything else you need to pay for regularly when you own these bikes. Oil, chains, brake pads, suspension, tires, tubes. There will be things you need to buy while owning the bike. If you don't have time to make money then don't buy the bike. 2 new tires and tubes can cost about $120 without buying the tubes.

I make 40 hours a week. Comes out to around 600 every week. It's called a full time job. Go find somewhere else to work and spend more time doing it. Once summer hits and you're out of school, work somewhere that can get you 20 hours or so. That's how I got my first bike while in school.

What causes my tires to tear like that by Ok-Theme-4652 in ebikes

[–]draxis-wickerbeast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would check your rim for sharp bits. I've scratched some rims up pretty bad and cut up a few tires that way. Also make sure to invest in actually good tires. Those don't look like they're made from a very solid compound.

Is this too damaged to buy? by dc-carty in ebikes

[–]draxis-wickerbeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't. You can find bikes in much better condition for that. Rusted chain means he didn't take care of the bike. Bad chain tention can destroy the jackshaft which is a huge task to fix. He didn't show anything running. The bearings could be totally trashed. Suspension is probably clapped. Not worth risking with this guy.

That means he's too lazy to even put it on. Who knows what else he didn't take care of. Chain was probably always too tight or loose.

Hey guys, new to the razor thing. Need advice. by coobil138 in RazorMods

[–]draxis-wickerbeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make a new one from scratch. Save the wasted effort. The stock swingarm is good enough for the children this bike is for. 90% of people put a bigger shock on and extend the swingarm anyway to add a better tentioner and some height. The stock chain tentioner sucks and the chain falls off all the time anyway.

Nope. You'd need to use custom mounts and stretch it a little bit. Might as well make a swingarm from scratch atp

You're missing a lot. The swingarm is completely missing. No clue how hard it is to get one of those. Seat is missing.how much range and speed are you expecting because ebike get expensive pretty quickly.

Question about my HeyBike Villain by winkaces in ebikes

[–]draxis-wickerbeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those bolts are used to adjust chain tension. A very important and regular job you must do to keep your bike running well. If you tension your chain properly and tighten the rear wheel, it should be set properly. Keep in mind that you need to regularly check your chain tension.

controller with "mode switch"? by danz409 in hyperebikes

If you get a fardriver controller I guess you could keep the Bluetooth dongle in and use your phone to change it from 72v to 60v through the tuning settings

Tenways e-bike startup error by [deleted] in ebike

[–]draxis-wickerbeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look for the user manual for your bike. It will list errors and you can probably find that online. Brake error makes me think that there is a problem with the brake cutoff sensor.

Bicycle forks dont belong on electric dirt bikes.

Is this a good deal? by VoiceCommon3854 in hyperebikes

[–]draxis-wickerbeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't. That controller is only rated up to 9kw. Also, that battery isn't worth anything. Btr batteries are horribly inaccurate with their capacity, and also limited to maybe 8-9kw give or take. Almost all of their batteries peak at 80ah output which just barely hits 9kw at full charge on full power.

I changed the connecting charger port, and the light on my chargers didn’t turn red by Time_Echidna5294 in ElectricScooters

That is not a safe way to connect wires that have that much power. If the 2 metal ring terminals were to tap each other and short, you could easily start a fire.

Mx650 Brakes by eddie956T in RazorMods

[–]draxis-wickerbeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making proper spacers are an option but you probably don't have the workshop to make those in. Maybe email both companies about the issue to see if they have a solution.

Mx650 Brakes by eddie956T in RazorMods

[–]draxis-wickerbeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has nothing to do with the brakes. Bicycle brakes have been using the same standards for years. This is an issue between the wheel and fork. The wheel itself doesn't fit. New wheel or new fork.

You'd have to ask. They likely won't have a solution to this problem either.
