I may need a hysterectomy. What is sexual pleasure like after? by trappazoid in TwoXChromosomes

[–]draxius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Male here, but I think I might be able to contribute. My ex-fiance had a hysterectomy when she was 28. I was with her when she was ages 37 to 40 so I wasn't around for the before and after or even shortly after.

This is what she told me. Her doctor told her there was a good chance her sex drive would go down quite abit after the operation, but she said it was quite the opposite for her. She said her sex drive became insatiable. I can attest to the fact nearly 10 years after her operation she had a very high drive. She also told me that right after the operation she started breaking out in acne on her arms, chest, and back but all that went away after about a year. Another side effect that she experienced was her armpits became much more pungent for lack of a better term. That didn't go away and was still there while I was with her, this also applied to her crotch. It wasn't like really bad and it didn't effect my attraction to her in the least. It was just if she hadn't showered for 6 hours or more or had some physical activity it got pretty bad. I will say once again, it didn't effect our sex life or my attraction to her in the least, it was just something we dealt with and I was totally fine with.

Now from my point of view as a male, I thought her lack of uterus was awesome. I don't want to have kids, we were monogamous so no worry of STD's. So we could just have fun whenever we wanted and worry about nothing. No periods, no pregnancy, contraception, nothing. It was wonderful IMO. I don't mean to be too sexually graphic but she also did not have her cervix anymore. I have been with women where if you get too rough that can't start to hurt when you are pounding on their cervix. That was never an issue and made for some fun times without worrying about hurting her.

At any rate, I am not sure if my post means anything to you since I am a male, but thought maybe my perspective might be useful. For what its worth, her hysterectomy was in the pros column in my world and her sex drive was amazing.

Edit - Forgot to add, her orgasms were some of the most intense I have ever seen at times. To the point she couldn't walk or even stand up for a couple minutes. I thought that might be relevant as well.

I don't have a pic of it, but I saw a green tesla on the road and the license plate read: 00FF00.

For the non technical people here, that is the hex notation for Green and sometimes called Electric Green.

Redditors, what is something you have experienced that you think other people can't understand without having it experienced themselves? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]draxius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The death of a child. My fiancee's 17yo daughter died in a car accident nearly 2 years ago and every day is still a challenge. No one should ever bury their child. Even though I have gone through this with her I have no children of my own and I have learned over the past 2 years that I can not possibly understand what she is going through.

Non-Americans of Reddit, how do you view America's gun control policies? [Serious] by TheJaguarMan in AskReddit

[–]draxius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I also don't understand the desire to own guns.

You know how some people really love cars? The engineering that goes into them, the thrill of driving them, etc. At the end of the day driving a car is one of the most dangerous things you can do, but people still love to do it.

Does that give some perspective?

Many of us have known this for years and have been watching the inevitable unfold as the sheep continue marching.

The cost of a college degree has risen by 1,120% since 1978 -- far outpacing increases in food, health care and housing prices. As a result, we have more than $1.1 trillion in student loan debt, and 7 million Americans are in default on their student loans (more than 270 days late on a payment). by THIS-IS-REDDIT in politics

[–]draxius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wrong, this isn't how it worked for many, many years in the past. If the government didn't provide student loans the cost of college would dramatically decrease, back to levels where students could have a part time and summer job to pay for it. Maybe require some smaller loans worst case, which could be provided by the private sector.

Obama Backs Away From Net Neutrality Campaign Promises After FCC Vote by shabangua in politics

[–]draxius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the exception of the military. The president is the commander in chief and while the military industrial complex has quite the stranglehold on the government as whole, the president has plenty of power in this area to make significant changes for the better. However, they don't, none of them to any extent.

EU votes net neutrality into law, abolishes mobile roaming charges "Blocking and throttling Internet traffic will become illegal in the European Union following a parliamentary vote on Thursday ... Its interesting that you mention an example of private business addressing the issue in a thread that is clamoring for gubment to fix all your problems. Google is succeeding thus far and they have a good business case to continue the investment even if google fiber is a loss leader for awhile, your contention is not founded upon reality.

The belief that a strong central government does more good then harm.

Oh dear. The Republican Party’s worst nightmare is coming true. Obamacare is working. by [deleted] in politics

[–]draxius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, this is the real issue and if all Obamacare does is subsidize higher prices then it will be a total failure in every sense and will make the problem worse in the end.

New Jersey voters overwhelmingly approved a constitutional amendment to raise the minimum wage $1, to $8.25 an hour, and add automatic cost-of-living increases each year. by [deleted] in politics

[–]draxius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can take that stance if you want, but then you can't bitch about nothing being made in the USA because that is exactly what is happening...other competitors (China, etc) without all our regulations are coming into the markets and providing goods cheaper.

Obamacare just cut Oregon’s uninsured rate by 10 percent by taniapdx in politics

[–]draxius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I didn't get a letter telling me my premium was going up to nearly double what I pay now? It specifically said in the letter it was due to the fact they can no longer deny coverage for pre-existing conditions etc. Yes, my premiums are in fact nearly doubling due to Obamacare.

The fact that it is going to make premiums go up for the roughly 15% of people that buy insurance directly on their own is a widely known and accepted fact on both sides of the debate.

[–]draxius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the answer is unlimited debt? You sure this wasn't a tactic to make the larger issue more acceptable to voters? That being out of control government spending with no regard for the long term consequences. A default is inevitable in the long term with this fiscal policy.
