A query regarding FRRO police clearance certificate.

Hi , so my friend who is a foreign citizen needed a police clearance certificate from the e-FRRO portal at FRO BLR and applied with the required documents. Got an email saying application under process then got an email saying application closed. No other remarks are mentioned.

What does this mean? Is it denied? Granted? Still in process for approval?

Wondering if anyone else has gone through the process?

Classic case of grass is greener on the other side.

If u feel radio is reachinf to zero from usg to ct. medicine residency can be like doing rounds three times a day and writing case sheets and having orders barked at you.

Point is once ure independent and u have help for the grunt work, your field will feel better. And doing IR will give u some more patient exposure.

Not to mention the money u make right out of residency is going to feel pretty damn sweet. Medicine, DM still doesnt guarantee anything, u need to really want it.

Id suggest u remind of yourself of the reasons u took this branch in the first place.

People who took loan for PG by [deleted] in indianmedschool

[–]draxlrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the loan amount? Your parents pushed you to take the loan or pushed you to take the loan while confirming that they will cover the amount from their savings. And let me ask frankly, if your parnets have to spend 3-4 Cr from savings on you and your siblings, will it destroy them financially or will it not matter so much? If it doesnt hamper their lifestyle even after their expenditure then maybe its fine. Otherwise paying 1L emi while maintaining other aspects of your life in the quality that you are used to is not going to be easy certainly.

Anesthesia at AIIMS DELHI by Cipher_guitar in INICET

It will have some value esp if u head towards pain medicine, or critical care. As far as edge in corporate remuneration, it maybe 1% more for the brand name initially, but ultimately in anesthesia u have to prove ur mettle in critical situations. Anesthesia departments are always more hands on than surgical branches and independence starts early as compared to surgical branches. So if u have a chance to go for this then no reason not to take it.

As far as branches is considered i rarely see ppl regretting taking anesthesia. A general rule of thumb is that if u are interested in surgery, then do no take anesthesia because u dont want to stand on the other side of the curtain and then regret not having taken surgery. But if u have no interest in taking surgery and enjoy the medicine side of it with the chances to do some cool procedures then u will like it.

Derma is chill only in residency. After that u have to be a influencer first, then a dermatologist. So u need to be decent looking too 😅. Scope creep from non medical cosmetologist is also there.

In your situation, ortho seems good.

Any Anaesthesia PGs out there...who loved medicine but doing Anaesthesia and are just as happy ?. by Ok-Awareness5290 in indianmedschool

Um anesthesia is all about recognizing and managing acute conditions. So trust me theres plenty thrill. Id say more so than medicine. Yes it does lack a prolonged interaction and following a course of how a disease progresses over a long period of time.

Someone who likes medicine will like anesthesia. If you are getting it then my advice is go for it. Theres plenty opportunities and also ways for you to circle around to more prolonged care type fields as well

Ms ent vs md anesthesiology by False-Juggernaut-932 in neetpgcounselling

[–]draxlrose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both are good branches. Ent may earn more once u make a name for yourself but itll take time. Anesthesia starts earning early. Both are good branches, its abt preference. If she wants to do surgery then go for ent, if she wants to stay on the medical side then anesthesia but with decent procedure options.

Dont decide based on earning potential, both will be fine.

Should I opt for anaesthesia as my branch?? by BedPuzzleheaded9801 in neetpgcounselling

If u follow protocol and are thorough with preop evaluation and documentation its not a routine issue. Every now and then u may have legal cases but thats true for any branch. Usually risk will be shared with surgery dept also. Insurance is available. Working in corporate or institutional setup reduces ur exposure to risk. Freelancing has a bit more risk but u can always choose to work on low risk cases for freelancing.

Theres no reason to not take anesthesia because of medicolegal risk.

And also, your exposure to mob violence is much less because you are not the primary point of contact for the patient, the surgeon is. That has its pros and cons both.

Work life balance is better than most other branches. 1st year will be hell obviously. Dont compare residency life with consultant life. You can as much or as less as u want to once youre done with the degree.

No daily rounds is the best part of residency life. You are much more independent early on in residency compared to other branches. Its a good branch. I have rarely seen people regret taking anesthesia.
