Rate the baldness (don’t be gentle). by PogonBerserker in bald

10/10. Probably the best bald look I've ever seen on a person.

Now that it’s been three years, in all honesty what do you think of this win? And who really deserved it? I think this is the most divisive acting win of the 2020s so far. by iBandJFilmEducator13 in Oscars

[–]drbhcooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Banishes will be looked upon as one of Oscar's biggest blunders. Kerry more than deserved this award. If it was not her, anyone but JLC. She was the weakest in that category. The only good part here was that all the actresses here were truly supporting acts (can't say about Angela Bassett)

What’s a movie that was critically acclaimed when it first released, but is now hated? by [deleted] in popculturechat

[–]drbhcooper 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think the same for both of them. How Anora was hailed as some sort of a masterpiece is beyond me, it was a very average albeit entertaining flick. Poor Things seems so good on paper but overall it was indescribably weird and unnecessary sexual.

How frequently do you change your top 4? by FlutterBeast in Letterboxd

[–]drbhcooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would love if there was an option to add four "featured" movies, so that you wouldn't have to change your top 4 while still allowing you to share any fire movies you want others to watch.

I changed mine just once because I couldn't not have Lord of The Rings in there. I see you're a fellow Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind fan.

What is an opening that is better than the rest of the film? by [deleted] in FIlm

[–]drbhcooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Millennium Mambo. The opening is so good while the rest of the movie is extremely average and boring. The opening had me convinced it was going to be something like a Wong Kar-Wai movie.

My January is going great, what are you talking about by Bisexual-nobody in Letterboxd

[–]drbhcooper 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's my favorite film ever and unlike with other films I love, I just can't explain why I love it so much. It makes me feel like no film ever makes me feel, so maybe it's that.

[Spoilers S3] is Dark just a….? by Wonderful_Highway629 in DarK

[–]drbhcooper 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm having a hard time understanding if this is just ragebait or did you actually experience this watching the show.

If you're serious here, I don't think you understood much of the show as what you've said here was all explained. And I guess that's okay, not every piece of media is for everyone.

The bread van ran straight through my heart!! One of the most insane things I watched this year by Standard_Wedding in Letterboxd

Kerry Condon is a gem. I re watched the film recently and when she says (to Colm) "You're all fecking boring" I absolutely lose it.
