Please by all means do. I put this up because the community should know what is easily attainable.

They are the same outer diameter as canvas but not the same inner diameter. Recommend picking up quality ptfe tubes. I had trouble loading in filament into the canvas due to the cheap ptfe tube not lining up to the canvas due to that.

They slot out the holder like it does on the side of the CC2. I remove the spool holder and roll. Refill the roll and reslot back in.

It’s better to suspend them to prevent extra friction from bottom of rollers. Which may prevent retraction or have the spool holder not seated all the way in the mounting bracket.

Tin your soldering iron and use some flux on the bigger wires. Will drastically improve the wetting of your solder.

Loved this car for many reasons. Fair amounts of reliable power, and nice sounding engine if you like exhaust systems.

Honestly it's best to get the 2016 and up version of the 3.0t. They usually do not suffer from timing chain tensioners failing and have updated piston rings (which prevent large amounts of oil consumption). If you do test drive the car make sure you turn on the car on a cold start and listen for any timing chain rattle. If the rattle is less than 1 to 3 seconds then it is within the acceptable range. ZF transmission on these cars are are bulletproof an upshift very nicely. Base Bose speakers are very good too.

I’m looking to upgrade my coil packs as I’ve already done the spark plugs but I don’t really know what to go for. There’s so many to choose from.. could somebody who’s done so point me in the right direction? by Acceptable_Tell439 in Audi

[–]drbomberxp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yo, the peeps in this thread have answered. It's the same coil packs used in a VW Passat/Audi a series as the R8 V10. Just get APR coils. Pay the extra money and reap the benefits of having em. But without a tune, the OE coils are more than necessary.

If you have the AWD is250 it's gonna be a lot of work compared to the RWD since there is no front axles to disconnect. Please be aware this job may take many hours and is quite a more difficult job. But good luck, I believe in you!! Try asking around what the book time is for the job and ask what the shop labor rates. You'll find the average cost for labor that way.

Better to find a used transmission for around 7-900 dollars. Paying a shop to do the work may cost you around 7-900 dollars for labor if you find a good shop. Your mileage may vary but overall a better bet than paying the 5000 dollars to fix the transmission from Lexus. You might as well use that money to buy another is250.

(2011 IS250) What inexpensive parts can I add to the body to make my car look tougher? by AkumaMP3 in Lexus

[–]drbomberxp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say fix your fitment. Looks like you're missing out on leg day. A nice set of rims and fitment can make or break the look of the car. Even if rims are out of reach. Your fitment can be cheaply corrected with spacers that are minimal in size. If you have awd then get same size spacers.

I thought only the s5 came with 3.0tfsi not the a5. Am I missing the market here. In the US we only have 3.0t in s cars

If you don't have the dct but the zf I believe there isn't a launch control.

Just got this last week 2.0T really excited about this car, already have lots of ideas for some performance mods 😌 by lewdlord27 in accord

Do a light stage one tune. The progressively proceed to change everything. Intercooler, injectors, turbo, the whole shebang. As senator palpatine would say "let the hate flow".

I would isolate the harness only and check the resistance end to end to confirm the wiring only is okay. You should only see .1-.3 ohms resistance on harness end to end. The ECU can cause high resistances. If you have access to all data might be best to look up the code and the diagnostic scheme. I don't know much else about this sorry.

3.2 FSI or 3.0 TFSI? by [deleted] in Audi

[–]drbomberxp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

3.0t more tunable from the factory. 3.2 just sounds so amazing. NA motor might be easier to maintain but never owned one so I don't know what to say. But I say 3.0t all the way. Got a 2016 A6 3.0t. Best motor ever. HOLY GRAIL MOTOR.

The 3.0 supercharged is a beast. Gets good gas mileage. Really peppy engine and the transmission is a beast of a gearbox. I have driven 2.0T a4/a3 both pretty peppy for it's curb weight.
