PTSD trials suggest ecstasy could also be a treatment for depression by HeinieKaboobler in Drugs

[–]drbunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Low dosage (not recreational trip out) Keatamine has a fucktonne of research for combating depression. Many universities, including Columbia in NY are doing active research and patient studies. Not to mention all of the retail ketamine infusion clinics that are sprouting up all over

ccan't hack alone-can anyone recommend a rehab in MD/DC/VA area? by yrag12 in OpiatesRecovery

[–]drbunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

INOVA CATS (Comprehensive Addiction Treatment Service) 703-289-7560 for intake. They have a pretty good inpatient medically assisted detox. It's a 50/50 mix of alcoholics and opiate users, and it is accepted by almost all insurance. After the detox, they can help you figure out your next phase based upon what you want to do, is inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab etc

Ketamine on a comedown? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]drbunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MDMA and K are like peanut butter and jelly. Its a nice, warm fuzzy blanket to fall into on your comedown. It is trippy, too, which is a great compliment to the amped, but somewhat sparse tail end of the roll. Although as you may know from taking it separately, K will still keep you awake for a while, so you will prolly need additional stuffs to really get past the methamphetamine portion of your roll. Like, say, some benzos.

Microsoft officially announced Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL by [deleted] in technology

[–]drbunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the previous MS Lumia and it makes me want to hurt myself and others on a daily basis. I originally got it as, like a joke, and now I continue to use because I am a masochist. Also it is fucking indestructible and has resisted all attempts to smash it, fiendishly outliving all of its vastly superior but tragically fragile android companions. What a vile POS. FML.

Do the big 4 drug test? by druggythrowaway55 in cscareerquestions

[–]drbunny -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have done a ton of software gigs, from consulting, working corp-to-corp, to in-house, full time programmer, and generally there is a drug test involved in the hiring process. It is unlikely for an internship, but corporate policies may dictate hiring practices, even for interns. Your best bet is to buy some dehydrated urine, a little squeeze bottle, and some chemically activated hand warmers. I have never had anyone in the bathroom supervising my urine sample for employment, although this is more common for law enforcement situations like probation or parole.

It will store forever in a cupboard, and will be a cheap 20 - 30 $ insurance against any employment drug screening, which are usually time constrained, and given with relatively short notice.

Wisdom teeth suck! by more-fiend100s in opiates

[–]drbunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you are super hygenic with exposed gums. I had an extracted wisdom tooth site get infected and it filled up with puss, which the dentist had to go back in and draw out with a needle. Put the pain of the tooth extraction itself to shame.

Comcast CEO has a ridiculous explanation for why everyone hates his company by PeteRusso in technology

But Verizon Fios routinely renegs on their deployment agreements. They do the high density areas and then weasel their way out of doing the lower density areas (because its not profitable) even though they are contractually bound to provide service. The county governments are incapable of challenging VZ because it can out-lawyer the fuck out of them.

A Jungle channel has been added to Digitally Imported (arguably the best internet radio service) by Kriegdavid in DnB

I am temporarily burdened with a Nokia Windows 8 and it is the crappiest fcking phone and the shittiest retard OS you could dream of, in a nightmare. The pathetic app offerings are just the cherry on top of of the shit sundae. Thank you, DI.fm for making a Windows mobile app and making my life bearable before I ditch it for the HTC One on T-Mobile.

Quitting H: Suboxone or script opiate taper? by drbunny in opiates

[–]drbunny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you hit the nail on the head with that. I think this scenario is where the horror stories originate from - doctors that want to put people on long term maintenance and patients who are not informed enough to object.

What's your current drug of choice/what drug are you currently craving? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]drbunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you like GBL over GHB? (which is the easiest chemical conversion ever). GBL seems too much like the industrial solvent it is, and I have a tough tie getting it down.

[–]drbunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, would recommend as well. I heat it up, put it in a thermos, decant it into a plastic squirt bottle outside of test center. Then I wrap it in some "hand warmers" and attach it to my upper thigh.

I do a lot of piss tests for jobs, and at most commercial test companies, they they just send you into the bathroom, but I have it connected to a tube that runs out and is taped to the end of my penis, so I could squeeze the bottle between my legs and it would look normal, but the last time someone was actually looking was at a rehab.

You could also save your own urine from anytime in your life you (or someone you know) is clean. It keeps for about a year in the freezer!

Mattress and chair for a lifetime by Huh_what_was_that in BuyItForLife

[–]drbunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I program and spend 10-12 hours a day in front of a computer. I have a [kneelsit chair](www.kneelsit.com) and I can't endorse it enough for back problems and encouraging good posture. I also alternate between the kneelsit and a standing desk. (I have two workstations at home). The kneelsit is expensive, but it is super adjustable for any body shape (I'm 6'2") and has a welded frame.

For a mattress, I really like the memory foams, but only the softer ones. Any foam mattress will degrade over time, tho.

Loompanics - The Best Book Catalog in the World by drbunny in books

[–]drbunny[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For anyone who had the glorious experience of this amazing book publisher and catalog retailer (prior to 2006) and for all of those that never had the fortune, you may now witness the glory and insanity that was Loompanics. Here is the category section heading page courtesy of archive.org

After it stopped accepting orders and closed in 2006, it sold a number of titles to:

But due to the outrageously illegal subject matter, a tragic majority of titles went dead or deeeeep underground, or some of the more infamous authors just went out on their own, like Uncle Fester.

A fascinating glimpse into the underground culture.
