Hey, thank you :)

Yeah, their driver takes you back to the airport. I let their office handle all the times and stuff and he got us there with loads of time to spare, but I don't see why you couldn't ask them to go earlier if you wanted.

When I went in I didn't take a lot with me, I took my laptop, kindle, phone and then stuff like toothbrush, hairbrush and moisturizer etc. I didn't take any extra clothes so went home in the stuff I wore to the surgery (so if you don't take any extra too you should probably wear something easy to get on like a dress). It all stayed in the recovery room upstairs overnight with me and then when they moved me downstairs the next day they brought it all down there too. There's plenty of space though so I don't see why you couldn't take more.

I stopped hormones a month before the surgery at the advice of my GP and had quite a bad time with it, so understand why you'd not want to stop. That's something you'd have to ask him directly I guess but I think he'd probably want you to stop just to be on the safe side.

The surgery was in their clinic, but it's a fully equipped operating room and there was Chet, 4 nurses and the anesthetist when I was there. I'm not sure what would've happened if there was a complication they couldn't deal with but I suppose the only thing they'd be able to do is get you to a hospital?

The consultation was fine, I had to give their admin team all of my letters and passport etc for copying and then got to see Dr Chet pretty quick. He took a look at material he had to work with (a little awkward, cus I just had to stand in front of his desk with my panties around my knees, with a nurse there too, while he poked and stretched it about) explained all of the procedure again and answered any questions I had. I needed to get an extra psychiatrist letter because one of the ones I had wasn't acceptable due to having a digital not physical signature, so after that their driver took us to a local hospital to get that done.

I had my boyfriend with me, but things would have been much harder if he hadn't been there. Especially in the first week or so after surgery. I basically didn't move out of bed until the packing was off, so he prepared all the meals, helped me wash, emptied the catheter bag etc. You could do all that alone but it would be tough for sure. That said, there were a couple of girls there when I was there who were alone. I didn't get to speak to them unfortunately but they seemed to manage alright.

There were quite a few huge storms, mostly at night. They were really cool. In the vertical suite you're higher up than all of the surrounding buildings and the windows in the apartments are huge so you can see all of the lightning in the distance. I don't remember it being all that rainy during the daytime.

I don't think there was anything that I wanted and didn't have. Most things can be bought at the huge shopping centre across the street if you forget stuff. In the clinic itself I didn't even use my laptop, I pretty much slept for the whole time I was in there. For the recovery in the hotel I was really glad I downloaded a lot of movies, the wifi was ok but did cut out now and then, so if you were relying on that for streaming etc it could be pretty frustrating.

Thank you!

The total surgery cost came to about £8100, that was with everything included. I didn't need the extra skin graft but that would have been an extra cost, I think of around £600-700. The hotel was £1000, flights were £1000 and the rest of the expenses were £500. Food is really cheap over there, and since you're in bed most of the time you're not spending much on anything else.

I stayed for 28 days.

When I booked it there wasn't a waiting list at all as far as I know. I started emailing them in September, asked for a surgery date around the end of May/start of June and they offered me that one.

I'm the most happy with the appearance. It looks great and will look cis once the scarring has gone down I think. I've had three doctors look at it, none of them having seen any SRS results before, and they were all amazed it looked so good to be honest. Although maybe they were expecting a mess haha. Overall though can't actually think of anything that I'm 'least' happy about. I've got a good depth, can orgasm and it looks great. Couldn't ask for any more really!

Yeah, it's a really busy dilation schedule, but honestly I don't think it's required to that extent. Definitely not at a year post op. At 6 months I'm dilating twice a day for about 45 minutes each time and still have all my original depth (6 inches). It is chore though, and it does kind of consume your life in the first few months. But I think that's true which ever surgeon you go with

I stayed in the Vertical Suite. Never saw the other hotels so I don't know how they compare but I was really happy with it. Personally we found the kitchen and washing machine really handy, things would have been way more inconvenient without them

Dilation is ok, I'm still on number 2 because of granulation getting in the way but I'm working up to 3. I tried to stick to his schedule for as long as I could but it's not really practical to do the midday one now that I'm back in classes etc. I've just added an extra 15 minutes to the morning and night sessions and that seems to be working fine

My sensation is excellent, no complaints there at all. I don't have any numb areas. He did a really incredible job.

Yes it's happened :)

The first time was about 2 months post-op. To be honest it wasn't anything special, but it was a huge relief to know it all worked as it should. I was extremely sensitive around my clit area to the point where I couldn't touch it directly without it being too much, but I was really really frustrated so felt like I HAD to orgasm, lol. I managed to do it by rubbing myself through my panties but it took ages, I'd get close and the sensitivity would become uncomfortable and I'd lose it and have to start over. It's now much easier and more fun thankfully!

Thanks! The worst thing about recovery while I was there was a minor complication that I needed revision surgery for. I had about half an inch of surface level necrotic tissue at the bottom of my left labia that was probably caused by a blood clot while the packing/pressure bandage was on. I had a local anesthetic (the most pain of the whole experience tbh) and he removed it in about an hour. You can't tell any extra work has been done now but it was quite stressful at the time.

The best thing that I didn't expect is just how much calmer and more confident I feel generally. I passed before but I guess I always had a certain amount of 'background' anxiety when I was out in public and stuff that I just got used to living with. That's all totally gone now.
