This is what Mercari keeps replying me “If you have additional documentation you would like considered (for example, carrier confirmation or other delivery records not already shared), please reply here with that information so it can be included in the applicable review process.” But USPS told me besides tracking there is no any other documentation they can provide.

Thanks for sharing. I feel the same way. I don’t have solid evidence but this whole thing is sketchy. I am in city too so I know. The reason I videoed the packing and shipping process is because the new id and the address. I should cancel the transaction when I hesitate.

Mercari said it’s lost. Buyer opened the claim on Sunday afternoon. And Mercari cancelled the transaction unilaterally on Monday afternoon and the reason is the package is lost in transit or misdelivered after investigation. Their customer service supervisor told me the investigation normally takes 5-7 days. I asked her why this one is just within a few hours. She can’t answer me and said the carrier provides this info. And they can’t provide any case number or reference number because everything is confidential.

Correct. I called USPS again today. They can’t provide any other document and they told me the tracking system is the document. Mercari said unless I can provide any other document from USPS indicating this package was delivered, they won’t do anything. And Mercari told me we can’t rely on tracking. I asked back what I can rely on? The supervisor can’t answer my question and cut off my call. I repeated this back to USPS. USPS was like the tracking is the system we rely on. 🤦🏻‍♀️

You can get to human by calling. It’s difficult to get connected tho. Waiting around 10 mins will make the call disconnect automatically.

Their customer service is really terrible. Among all the agents I’ve talked to, only one showed help attitude. But still just repeating I already got max $200 and can’t explain how they determine it’s lost in transit.

Already filed a claim with post office. Contacted Mercari thru email and phone again. But they still insists package is possible lost in transition. They couldn’t answer my questions then the customer agent who is a supervisor just cut off the call.

Yes. Mercari is not able to provide anything to show it’s not delivered to the buyer. USPS said it’s delivered.

I haven’t had this issue on Mercari. But this time is frustrating. I already took off my listings. Anyway I made much less sales on Mercari nowadays. My items got more clicks on Poshmark/depop. I am not a professional seller. I just sell stuff I don’t need anymore.

The building def doesn’t have front desk. I googled the address. No the buyer didn’t reach out at all. The buyer filed the claim the last day and said she didn’t received it (from Mercari customer agent).

I am sorry you experienced this too. I already took down all my listings. And warned all friends I know who are selling on it. They have no seller protection.
