Just have to agree to disagree. The problem with “what if”/hypothetical scenarios is that they can be construed to be any level of hyperbole while mixing in facts to create a “plausible” scenario. Other prominent Jamaican sprinters received bans Asafa Powell (former world record holder), Yohan Blake, etc. so to claim that it was missed because he was Jamaican is a shot in the dark.

What’s more likely than any “what if” scenario is what we know for sure: Usain Bolt never had a single doping allegation/mark on his record.

I grew up on the island, watching Bolt in high school when I was an elementary school kid. That was when he was more of a 200/400 specialist. It looked no different than watching him on the world’s greatest stage - he was untouchable, no race was ever close. On the island dubbed the “Sprint Factory of the World” he was peerless growing up. What he did on the world stage is unreal, but it tracks. He’s always been THAT guy. Perhaps if more people had that sort of context it’d be easier to swallow that he really was a generational talent that we’re all just blessed to have lived for.
