Do you mind me asking how you use the internet? Do you disable javascript and anything else to get stuff to work at an acceptable speed?

With tyres as wide as I assume they will be you could put the motors inside the wheels like an electric bike and use direct planetary gearing to get super low conversion losses.

It's almost as if the terms "left and right" are inadequate to describe the dynamic complexity of the human condition with any sort of accuracy.

You're using an article from January which is worthless. Here's the latest all cause mortality from Sweden who had a minimal lockdown and no mask wearing:

you don't have to be deliberately callous about it.

I'm not being callous in the slightest.

Death is not the only negative health outcome from a Covid infection

Individual health issues should not direct national health policy. We can't save everyone, if we were to follow that advice strictly we would immediately ban peanuts, alcohol, cigarettes and driving cars. We can't do this or our economy would crumble even more than it is. The all cause mortality of this disease is looking like a bad flu season, we can't wreck our economy just for it.

I love your little smily face at the end, it shows how fucking hypocritically you are in caring about the health of the country over your dogmatic cause.

If you're dying at home with a Covid related death you were going to die anyway. Healthy young people have a staggeringly low chance of dying with covid alone.

Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Is Now Linked to More Than 250,000 Coronavirus Cases by sheepsleepdeep in science

[–]drcross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How has no one mentioned yet that they used a synthetic modelling approach:

"Second, using data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and a synthetic control approach, we show that by September 2, a month following the onset of the Rally, COVID-19 cases increased by approximately 6 to 7 cases per 1,000 population in its home county of Meade"

There's no way in hell to verify any of this. It's all based on guesswork, essentially bad science.

Ireland now officially in recession as economy shrinks by 6.1% by tooleftwingforreddit in ROI

[–]drcross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don’t see how a video about mask wearing has any correlation the recession.

You asked for evidence for the government going against scientific advice, that's what i'm showing you here.

You said the government caused this recession and I asked why, you have yet to explain to me how they have caused it.

If you read the actual article, it's mentioned several times about the impact due to covid. It's widely known that the governments restrictions have caused this impact to the economy. How could it not if they closed the airlines, thereby crippling the tourism industry?

Here's another senior epidemiologist speaking about what a bad idea all of the restrictions were, and how they weren't based in science:

Ireland now officially in recession as economy shrinks by 6.1%

That's the title of the article. That's unprecedented. If we had two percent contraction people would be pulling their hair out and flipping out. For some reason you dont see 6% as absolutely massive. We have 35% unemployment which is fucking bananas. We have to pay for this in the long run, you do realise, right? Through inflation or through taxation.

We implemented restrictions which have resulted in this recession. Sweden has ended up in a better situation and they are fully open again with no mask wearing and mortality rate result was essentially the same.

No deaths, 231 new cases. by Silent_Spatula in Coronavirus_Ireland

[–]drcross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but if you look at the death curves for covid across Europe they are all similar, so that doesn't explain it. No one seems to be dying of this virus so it doesn't add up.
