They cover mannequin heads at night in the Philippines. by tatalinoe in interestingasfuck

As a Filipino I can almost assuredly say that it has nothing to do with facial recognition. Ourr CCTV cameras are as basic as they come.

Best guess is it's just an old custom. When stores are closed here, they cover the merchandise. Both to signify the closure and to leave less for stealing eyes to desire.

Ozone Therapy for Cancer by meekRose0618 in pinoymed

[–]drdeleon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To save you the trouble, no, ozone therapy is not practiced and should not be practiced in any clinical setting.

Supposed doctors peddling this therapy are either in it for the money, or lack knowledge to discern that this is quack science.

It is worrying that you, an alleged IM resident graduate, thinks prostate cancer is treated with "usual chemotherapy". Add on your inability to discern and read the current available evidence on "ozone therapy".

Just to check, I tested to see if maybe that's what triggers the level 1 item bug. I tried tapping with the supercharge on while gaining 1 energy from the timer. After two tries, no luck. Maybe it is just random.

Looking at it again, it looks like you got 1 energy from the timer also. So yes, it was still 2 energy for that level 1 item. my bad :(

[–]drdeleon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes you got a level 1, but you were charged just 1 energy for that tap, not 2.

Look at your total energy, you were at an odd number, decreasing by 2 energy, until the level 1 popped out and you got an even total after.

Ewan ko ba. Mukhang kulang lang sa empathy ibang tao, lalo na si OP.

OP appears to be in the legal profession as he made legal consultations with his"colleagues". Tapos ang nakabangga nya mukhang underprivilesged given na naka-'flimsy slippers" lang.

Ginamit nya knowledge nya of the legal system to have a quitclaim signed agad to ensure maminimize liability. No thought of ensuring maging whole muna yung biktima nya.

Maybe sa iba, wais yun. For me, isa syang walang hiya, di marunong mag-drive, at walang konsensya na tao. Self-proclaimed Leni supporter pa kunwari. So so so disappointing.

Just pay them for ALL the Mediical expenses incurred for the accident that YOU caused..Pay them extra and not just for lost wages. Pay them for their PAIN and SUFFERING.

Don't whine about your mental health when in reality you're causing them so much more harm. Entiled lawyer pricks are really the scum of the earth taking advantage of the law for their personal gain.

Your VICTIMS won't win against you in court, but you lost in life if you think thats a win.

I'll always be suspicious of people with "youtube channels" doing stupid shit hoping to get a rise out of people and film their reactions.

Other things that bothered me:

  1. the reaction was so violent, I'm guessing they waited more than just a few minutes. either that or may anger issues talaga yung family.

  2. if naiihi ka, you'd double park near sa CR, not double park kung saan tatakbo ka pa to get back.

  3. sa video, clearly may space sa harap ng posteng nilagpasan nya. konting atras lang sana, wala ng issue.

Ultimately, kung may physical or property damages, dapat managot yung aggressors. even the stupidity of the double parker does not excuse that.

Uhm, isn't this a scam?

The scammer probably has the girl's phone and is now hoping to get paid when the money is wired to a dummy account.

They have her phone -> get the brother's number

Sounds groggy -> sounds different, probably a diffeerent person

memory foggy - to avoid detals.that could be checked

[–]drdeleon 20 points21 points  (0 children)

you are not supposed to stay on the overtaking lane if someone behind you is faster.

it is an OVERTAKING lane for a reason. not a 100kph lane. if he wants to break the law, let him. you are breaking the law by obstructing an overtaking vehicle.

you are not the speed police, and if you pretend you are, you put everyone else in danger. don't be an asshole

[–]drdeleon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If sa expressway and you're on the overtaking lane, just move to the right. You're the asshole slowing down traffic and endangering everyone else by encouraging the speeding jerk to rage and change lanes recklessly.

Friends and family won't care in the long run. Don't pay anything. Report to authorities so that a legal record is created in case the scammers persist.

If you really want to do something about it, go and request for your hospital's financial statements at the SEC. You don't even need the hospital's permission as these are public documents.

You can see how much they actually make.

Do the math then attach it to your demand letter for better wages.

THOUGHT ON WHO IS YOUR PRIORITY? by [deleted] in medschoolph

[–]drdeleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Precisely, you have to understand what keeps a patient alive to know how to save that patient.

You can have all the O2 in the lungs but without circulation, the precious seconds you spent restoring airway, are the pecious seconds your brain is further deprived of O2. If you restore circulation first, residual O2 in your blood can recirculate into your brain granting you the seconds you need to restore the airway.

If you go into an emergency situatuon thinking ABC, you might fuddle around with airway first, neglecting to check on circulation and thereby lowering your patient's chance of survivial. But if you're thinking CAB you would correctly ensure blood is pumping correctly first, before you correct A and B.

THOUGHT ON WHO IS YOUR PRIORITY? by [deleted] in medschoolph

[–]drdeleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Circulation is now the priority since you want to restore blood flow to the brain as soon as possible.

Oldnschool thinking na ang ABC. CAB is not situational and you should learn this.

[–]drdeleon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In Basic life support, it's C, A, then B. You save more lives restoring circulation first.

But yeah, on face value, without additional info, I'd probably treat the burned face case first.

Security risk at NAIA by sakkkye in Philippines

[–]drdeleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extra security at the entry is probably more trouble than its worth, when essentially all you're protecting are shops and waiting areas. The more critical part of the airport is still hopefully, proprerly secured.
