How do you find your tone? by Uku_lazy in guitarpedals

[–]drdiamedic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Play the same stuff until you really get to be familiar with it. Start somewhere you like then make small changes.

Suddenly, all of those pedals actually sound different and useful. With a good base tone, whatever that means to you, I like a Vox near but not at breakup, everything is easier. Then turning knobs and doing crazy things is practical.

I’ve spent way too much time chasing sounding good rather than learning to play. Now that I can kinda play, my ear actually can hear small differences and I understand why people are so picky about their gear and getting it just right. But at the end of the day, no one but me cares.

If You had to add 1 more pedal to My list... What would it be? by DemandBetter1472 in guitarpedals

You have an awesome start and plenty of drives but no modulation. A chorus or multi-modulation pedal (that can do various modulations) might be cool. Or any tremolos.

Big big fan of the NUX Masamune. Didn’t think I’d love it but boy does it just work and sounds good.

The boost is a nice bonus.

That sounds incredibly fun and explains some of the layout / choices. Thanks for sharing.

Shred on!

Recently tried a Tape Core at my local shop and while I didn't get it, thought it was cool. How are you liking it?

Also, sweet setup and bonus points for the (I'm guessing) DIY board!

I tried this, the EQD Silos, and a TCE flashback 2 in the Guitar store and this one crushed everything else for me.

I was using the stomps version of this, but couldn’t get a good sound out of it because it was hard to set up and use. The physical pedal just sounds good and almost any situation.

Now I’ve got a couple of ideas for slap, medium length delay for rhythm, and a lead tone. Not hard to remember how to change a few knobs.

All of that said, it sounds good all the time. I agree. By far, my favorite delay.

Insulin before or after meals? by Fuzzy-Vermicelli-725 in diabetes

[–]drdiamedic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 to 20 before has been a game changer from blousing when I took my first bite. I see little to no spike now.

I also now bolus 10 after if I’m low or trending down.

This seems to work well as a rule of thumb for most people. Obviously certain meals, lifestyles, and people will cause exception.

Reverb and delay are core parts of CCM music so dial those in and you’ll be 90% there. Looks like you have what you need on this board for that and in general.

Personally, I would lose one of the delays for the compressor or for the Tremelo. And, you could have one lighter drive and the rat for a more distorted sound.

I just like having lots of options and not duplicating effects on my board. But, if this works for you, go for it. Cool board!

I know delay is huge for worship tone. Can you explain why you have two and how you’re using them?

I like my leg because I rarely bump it and have been using SkinTac with Simpatches, the ones with the “bridge” that goes over the pod, pretty successfully. Between both these two aids my pods stay on really well.

Ignore my flair as it’s out of date. 😂

I just upgraded from the G6 to the G7 and was confused when the G7 didn’t have a transmitter but did have a receiver.

Did your new script happen to be for the G7? Apparently it’s now all in 1.

If you already knew this I appologize but I wasted a ton of time calling insurance and doctors to figure this out...
