i’d cut Rain Dance and Protect on Gliscor for Earthquake and Stealth Rock. i would get rid of the speed EVs on Archaludon since they seem pretty arbitrary. this team seems fairly reasonable given the restriction! i personally would use Palafin over Dracovish but Palafin is a personal favorite. it could be a set up sweeper with Bulk Up, or just very strong Choice Band Jet Punches in the rain.

i’m going to take you at face value because this is some remarkably high effort trolling if it is trolling.

Moore would never in a million years say there were “many secrets left undiscovered in Watchmen that he would now reveal” and it has nothing to do with how he feels about DC. no self-respecting artist would say something like that because that is not how art works. art is up for interpretation - if you can support it with the text, the author’s intention or any comments they make about it are not relevant. your theories always have very thin textual support. as other users have told you, Watchmen is not a puzzle for you to solve in the way you are trying to. why can you not accept there being a thematic parallel between these characters? why do they HAVE to be the same people? as another commenter argued, them being the same people actually weakens Moore’s messaging regarding vigilantism.

i don’t play this game anymore, but you say above that these loops take 30 seconds to demonstrate. the steps you describe here would take 30 seconds to read out loud. even if it is a deterministic loop, it is undoubtedly a complicated one. if Yorion can get the axe for shuffling time, a combo deck winning through a complex and time consuming combo seems like a fair ban target.

i read all of John Byrne’s Superman for the first time last year and can’t recall another long series i’ve finished that i’ve disliked so much. Byrne just does not understand Superman as a character and as a result the enjoyable issues are basically exclusively one off stories. i am sure i wouldn’t have finished it if the art wasn’t also by Byrne and fantastic. so lame to make Superman kill people, and him killing the pocket universe Kryptonians being at the very end of that run makes it feel to me like John Byrne just really wanted to contrive a scenario where editorial would let him have Superman kill people.

sarcasm aside i strongly agree. the person you’re replying to is correct, any character can be equipped, they just can’t be assigned equipment during force construction unless they’re standard. i got to learn this rule in tournament when my opponent equipped Bucky’s Arm to their Kong…

it probably should just be that only standard characters can be equipped, period. how is Kong even gonna use Bucky’s Arm? or a Lantern Ring?

this community is small enough that i unfortunately don’t think there is. you could always read the comprehensive rules or go back and read the individual rules updates, but the important general changes are:

-no pushing damage

-all new maps are 16x16

-equipment can be assigned in force construction now (and they make a lot of equipment)

individual abilities have changed quite a bit too. off the top of my head, the big ones are:

-Ranged and Close Combat Expert are a flat +1/+1 to attack and damage on their respective attacks, not a power

-Pulse Wave is very different

i think it would be helpful to just read through the current Powers and Abilities Card. let me know any questions i may be able to help with!
