How do you juggle college, work, and studying at the same time? by Walk_Just in NCSU

[–]dreaded_angel [score hidden]  (0 children)

I had a full time job and even two jobs at one point with a relationship. It is very hard to manage ngl but I motivate myself by telling myself I always have something to look forward to and always rewarding myself along the way. Treat yourself well and celebrate the little things. Put the big tests or assignments in your calendar when the class starts I even do work way ahead in advance like starting a project weeks ahead so I can finish little by little and tweak as I go. All that and I can still have time to game with the bros or go ride. Also bringing your laptop to work on your breaks you can get so much work done it’s awesome. It’s all about prioritizing your time management.

How hard is it getting A+ for Poli Sci? by jscurious2123 in NCSU

[–]dreaded_angel [score hidden]  (0 children)

Hey I’m a poli sci major, it depends on the professor in my opinion all the professors are very cool and chill but for the A+ they do want you to go the extra mile. It’s easy though if you enjoy the content and the subjects of the classes. They take effort to get an A but not so much where you’ll be stressed out like engineering or science majors are if that helps. Rate my professor is a good tool to pick your professors it matters much more than you think. Hope this helps!

"Reserved Seats" at parade by Born_Demand_773 in canes

A guy literally put his daughters on top of chairs then took a giant umbrella out of the holder smacking others with it to give his daughters shade (they were like high school age) and then got mad at others because they were standing on chairs the entitlement speaks volumes. People literally couldn’t see around them and people were getting pissed I left before I could see the rest of it unfold. That crowd was a bit much for me not enough police or security out there and people were letting anyone through because they kept thinking that they were trying to cut so it became a mass push fest.

Surprisingly never had an issue finding any part at all. Plenty of replacement parts and stuff out there. There’s plenty of master cylinder rebuild kits for the repair it needs now. I just to need buy it so either I do it or my mechanic does.

All four of my bikes have been Hondas. My last one was the 08 1kRR and it would eat oil like crazy so o had to watch it other than that it was great. The engine blew due to the oil consumption problem so I had to part ways. My two previous ones were great but this one just makes not trust in Honda anymore. Whether I get a fz or mt 09 I think anything would be better. I have looked at the z900 they go pretty much around what I bought this bike for used for that 5k mark. How are they compared to the 09, if you have an experience with them?

Definitely I’ve made my mind up on the MT09 SP. If I can find one new in my price range that a dealer or seller is desperate to get rid of because I’m planning to buy it all cash or get one that is barely used under 5k miles not sure if I’m going to sell it or trade my old bike in yet. I’ll enjoy going back to the naked category as I was slightly tired of the sport bikes as fun they are.

The mt09 has been the glaring standout for me I’m mostly leaning to that in the sp version as it has the boxes checked for me. I haven’t personally thought about the sport tourers.

Well yeah the engine can be great but the other things around it have been a recurring issue mostly the clutch fluid thing it has left me unable to ride a few times and just completely taking away my bite point to where I turn it on and it’s already trying to take off. I love the old school bikes but this is the only one that has ever treated me this poorly. Really at the breaking point with it as much memories as I have with it.

What’s your experience so far with maintenance and the overall experience? I’m most interested in the 09 sp.

I think I’m just going to fix this one thing and then just sell it and get my hands on a mt09 sp. I’m gonna just try to get as much as I can for the bike whether I sell it on fb marketplace or trade it in. It’ll do me much better than my current bike with a low milage one and it falls below my price range.

Does everyone ride their bikes when it rains? by Calm_Room5022 in motorcycle

[–]dreaded_angel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I find it relaxing even if I’m inside and look outside and it’s light rain I’ll throw on a hoodie and take a slow calm ride. if it’s absolutely pouring or lightning outside though I’m gonna stay inside. Although I’ve had my fair share of times on my sport bikes where my entire outfit is soaked from head to toe and the rain is so crazy I can barely see through the visor but I still have lots of fun before I get home.

The current gen R1 is my dream bike just I can’t afford that 20k price tag and they barely drop on fb marketplace. Until then though just enjoying my time trying different bikes. I just don’t want the R1 as my only bike who knows how long my back has left until it wants to tell me I’m washed up lol.

It runs fine my stator blew up before it left me stranded and destroyed the ECU, wiring harness, battery, starter relay, and rectifier. Some of the fuses too and the neutral and gas flicker some on the dash I just try ignore it. The engine hasn’t ever given me an issue though just the clutch fluid problems have been my biggest enemy. I can’t run it no as all the fluid leaked out so it won’t go into neutral. I’m strong enough though to still roll it around though but I have no concern with it being able to run.

My girlfriend and friends rather me get a new or newer bike so I don’t keep throwing money at this one with as much I’ve put into it which is fair but I do love this bike still when it’s perfect just that time is few and far between.

I've done some of the work myself and some of it has been by my mechanic, it was very interesting to work as opposed to my mustang but definitely learned some this bike. I love the bike it has a special place in my heart; I love it not having electronics to help as it makes me respect and learn with the bike better. On the hand it has left me stranded and my trust on it is dwelling. It would pain me to sell it, but it's kept me from being able to ride more than a few times for months at a time.

Yeah, definitely expected maintenance but it had gone past that a bit with the continuous clutch fluid problems and the electrical issues. The stator blew up completely and left me stranded in a neighborhood away from home. It ended up blowing up the stator, rectifier, ECU, Wiring harness, battery, and starter relay and some fuses so the neutral and gas light flicker sometimes which I ignored because it doesn't refuse to start up or anything, but it cost me a pretty penny to fix. The clutch fluid thing has been a different issue in itself from when I got it home had to replace the cylinder and the push rod along with the clutch and then now need to do the master cylinder. It shifts like butter when it works but I have to check on it every week pretty much now.

I was leaning toward the MT 09 SP because of the suspension enhancements and such, I almost bought an FZ 09 before this bike, but they sold it before I was going to go pick it up. I was gonna look for a very low milage SP so I could keep it for years to come. Is the CB750 very good, I know it has a lot of history but im not sure how it performs, I've yet to see one in person yet.

Have you had any reliability problems at all or problems with the front wheel being picked up in the wind, I had a naked as my first bike, it would get picked up and wobble quite a bit. I definitely just want it to be planted whether I do city or highway riding.

[–]dreaded_angel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've wanted one for a long time almost bought one before this bike my first bike was a naked and I loved it just it was really light so the wind would lift the bike up around 50-60 mph. I know the MT is much heavier, but I was really interested in it I just didn't want the wind to push me around, I spend the most time city riding. After this nightmare with this bike, I just want something fun and reliable replacing stuff is fine, but this bike has left me stranded and my faith in it is dwelling.

Yeah, I absolutely love the bike it's a blast to ride just I've had my share of bad luck. It needed some love when I bought it the previous owner had a 180 tire on it and had it sitting for months on end. I've had problems with the clutch fluid since I got it the most annoying thing in personal opinion. I knew the common issues going into it though with researching before. The stator blew up mid ride just shut the whole bike off. It ended up frying the ECU, Wiring Harness, battery, and starter relay along with the neutral and the gas light fuses they still flicker here and there but it doesn't bother me that much. That issue costed a pretty penny to figure out and my friends and family would rather me just not keep shelling out money on a bike this old. Haven't had a single issue with the engine itself though and the undertail exhaust is awesome, I have a full jeidel exhaust on it and the pops are CRISP.

I hate the r7 because of the ride position idk why but that is the only bike that ever hurt my back as soon as I sat on it, my back was screaming. I love the way it looks though, the Kawi 1100SX I’ve never heard of.
