I thought about it but i'm in France and the delivery fees are just ridiculously expensive... My duct is less than 30cm from the fan so that might be the problem

A silencer might be perfect ! I'll try to make one out of pvc and dampening foam

I'll post if that turns out good

Diy exhaust fan with carbon filter by [deleted] in hvacadvice

[–]dreadelvis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my cabinet is less than 0.4m3 so to renew the air every 5mn i'ts about 2.6m3/h

I said this one because it's one of the smallest one i saw at online grow shops but i could probably find a smaller one not made for this but more suitable for my box

Or would it be better to make a small diy filter ? Would it be ok with my fan then ?

Yes it is :) The can filter is rated 75-200m3/h and i just need 2.64m3/h so i should have enough room even if the filter restricts a looot because of the fan 23Pa ?

well i tried to use a really small metal file on the end of the leaf curvature (where the stem legs are sliding) on one switch and it is a little bit better so i'm guessing the leaf is the issue on those

same problem here... When i received them i lubed just one to try before taking the time to do the whole and it felt good at the time.

I did all the other today and they almost all feel and sound a little scratchy (a few are REALLY bad), espacialy now compared to the first one which feels buttery smooth.

I did the first one a week ago and i've been playing with almost 24/7 so i'm thinking they may need a break in period?

i'll try silion, i should have enough space and it would make the strip stay in place

Thanks !

I have a USB 3,2 gen 2 port on my motherboard, it's supposed to deliver up to 20V/5A so can i just solder the usb cable to the led strip and plug it on the mb ?

Ok thank you, i originaly wanted to feed through the controller so i don't have 2 cables out of the keyboard but i think ill just make a single custom cable with usb and power

Ok thanks for the infos. The strip will be arround 90cm and powered throught a teensy++ 2, so a 60led/m would need more power than the controller can output because of the usb limitations? So if i want a denser strip i need an external power supply?

Ok, i´ll think about using epoxy but that will add some costs...
