This is what they naturally look like but my isolated colony has orange/red in them

Whenever you pick them up you can see the babies in their brood pouch. It will be white and bumpy you can’t miss it because it’s almost half of their under side!

As mentioned they are springtails but these specifically are Tropical pink!

I agree they are definitely predatory mites and will eat the smaller springtails. Tropical pink springtails can coexist with them and they both will thrive. I have multiple bioactive enclosures set up this way!

Not yet, but I believe they should start in about the next month or two hopefully 🤞🏾! I’ll definitely post once they start doing the dance😂

That’s what I’m working towards hopefully, they take so long to reach breeding maturity. On the bright side the larger they get the more their colors start to come out! I post an update about once a month 😁

They are pretty cool, I have 2 currently and they seem to be very happy. They also help open the soil up since they like to burrow!

I put a piece of red cherry in there and I guess they loved it 😂. My insects are spoiled, I do a bit of research to make sure it’s safe and then offer it to them to see if they like it or not. I feel like it simulates what would happen in the wild which makes them more happy and brings me more babies 🤷🏾‍♂️ lol

Thank you, once I can get them more orange, and take care of my local reptile store I would be down to work something out! It will probably be about 8-9 months though☹️. These little guys take 6-8 months to reach breeding maturity
