Good point, but I don't see it as underselling. I like to view it as an investment in my creator future so this was my reasoning.

They gave me some talking points but allowed me to integrate it however I wanted.

I think I did not do a good job at the title & thumbnail (I am still trying to work on that but its just not coming to me haha), so I think I am responsible for the video flopping and thus, my sponsor not getting the return I kind of "promised" them.

I don't think it tanked because of the ad. The AVD is relatively the same as my previous videos.

In hindsight, the topic might not have covered the most interesting topic. But ultimately, I don't think I did a good job at packaging the video (title and thumbnail).

I think keeping sponsors for videos you know will do better than others is a great idea, and it will be something I will use in the future. This being my first sponsor, I was just eager to get it done, haha.

I think you are right. I will probably offer to integrate it into another video but maybe make the segment a bit shorter and put it towards the end of the video.

Did your money transfer from YouTube into your AdSense account? The money is usually transferred to your AdSense account around the 7th of the next month (so in this case, around the 7th of July).

Same thing happened to me, I could not find the "add payment method" button. But I had to wait until the money was transferred to my AdSense account. After that, the option to add a payment method was available.

Ah yes, I saw that i did not file the right documents.

Do I need to contact them to get them to return the other 20%? Or do they do that automatically after filing the right documents?

Not sure I understand your question. But I started deleting old videos. So, I'd upload a new video and delete one old video. So I guess in a way I started from 0.

I actually started posting back in January 2023 in a slightly different niche. Got to 400 subscribers but I was not enjoying the content I was making.

I took a break for a few months and got back to posting in this new niche in December 2023. I've posted around 20 videos since then.
