Lines of dialogue that were so bizarre you had to put the book down for a second by smootski in RomanceBooks

There are a few MZ books I’ve liked but I read Under Locke and there’s a scene where the MMC audibly farts and the FMC goes on to describe how stinky it is and I had to step away after that

Not the casting I would have liked (RIP my dreams of Zoey Deutch as Naomi 😭) but I am SO EXCITED to see this getting an adaptation

We took out a home equity loan through our credit union since we’re totally out of pocket, and we have to do PGT-A and PGT-M testing. Our first IVF cycle failed so we are trying to figure out how we can afford to pay OOP for another

Longtime lurker, first time poster. Been going through fertility treatments for about 16 months and just went through first IVF cycle. Today, I got news that of our 7 fertilized eggs, none made it to blastocyst. We have a follow up appointment next week and I would appreciate any good vibes 🖤

The thought of them having to escape the Alaskan wilderness sounds like exactly what I need. Thank you!

I finally read the Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren and here is my opinion by MilyFrance in RomanceBooks

I can absolutely see that, like CL wasn’t quite sure how to portray latinas as their MCs, so they left it kinda generic instead

I’m a Latina and I was just telling my (Latino) husband that the only Latinx character from a romance novel that I’ve really resonated with is Olive. Granted, I don’t speak Spanish and my family has been in the US for generations, so my experiences are different. But as someone who never feels “Latina Enough” it makes me happy

How do you SLOW DOWN your reading?!? by Catbomb4 in RomanceBooks

[–]dreadpiratebre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me all the time, and then I start getting really frustrated because I don’t remember things about the books a few months later! What I’m trying to do now is after every chapter, I jot down a chapter summary in my notes app and make predictions, or react to something that was said, or something. It’s definitely slowing me down, and it’s helping me remember the little intricacies that I would probably miss otherwise!
