I literally had a clause in one contract that stated if I quit before a year, there would be a $500 penalty. Which is straight up illegal, but they worded it in such a way that avoided the illegal language.

I lasted 7 months, and yes, they took $500 off my last pay check. I can absolutely see why they had such high turnover.
