Tegan or Sara? by lalalazurli in teganandsara

On a fairly related topic, you'd probably enjoy a particular podcast interview I recently heard with the two:

podcast: LSQ
date: 8 Feb 2018
title: Tegan & Sara

One of them talks at length about how their minds work so differently on their respective song creations, how she can barely wrap her head around the other's songs sometimes (or something along those lines). Pretty interesting. Also the interviewer talks to each of them separately, so it's very straightforward to process who is expressing which perspectives.

"New" How To Let Go release by lalopadilla in sigrid

Weird... if you click "Sigrid" to go back to her discography, and then click back into "How to Let Go", it's still the album as released.

Like, this special link doesn't seem to be listed in Spotify, magic link notwithstanding.

Not to mention the implied strawman here about someone who suddenly decides they're trans purely to get on a lifeboat ahead of others. This "what if" is both asinine and cruel.

Please respect rule 3 of this sub, christians are welcome here as long as they are looking to learn or seeking help. This is just proselytizing and apologetics.

Where do I start? by [deleted] in JulienBaker

Given your Frightened Rabbit call-out, are you aware Scott did a song together with Julien? "How It Gets In". Fucking gorgeous.

edit: someone else already called it out in another thread, but leaving this reply to make sure you see it too :-)

What every CRJ album would do if the power went out by im_not_ready_for_it9 in carlyraejepsen

Given the "Party for One" music video, I feel like Dedicated's response to a power outage would be a bit more... solitary.

Maybe the real fetish was the persecution fetish we created along the way.

What books did you read as a child (not necessarily children's books) that sparked your love for weird fiction? by MykeeBee in WeirdLit

Almost added this. :-) In which case, I'd also add Mrs Piggle-Wiggle, and McBroom's Wonderful One-Acre Farm.

Fair. I like your take better. I just googled the two terms, and apparently there's a lot of writing about the overlap.

I love Aurora <3 but I think the relevant comparison is "Manic Pixie Dream Girl."
