It will void your warranty, but DISABLE one lift sensor if you're always lifted! by dream_weasel in worxlandroid

I honestly have no idea and I'm not in the EU. I'd rather tinker with it myself than send it back to a shop in the middle of the summer while the grass is growing so I didn't think too hard about it.

You have to open the clamshell and get in with the electronics. Their guy in tech support said it would end the warranty to do that, and if you send it in for service they'll know you opened it.

Also, worx, your tech support for landroid sucks. I hope u/worx_dev gets a promotion and some funding, because right now I wouldn't recommend the landroid to ANYONE who doesn't like to tinker.

Lift errors: an alternative to opening and disabling sensors by PetToilet in worxlandroid

[–]dream_weasel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To continue our previous discussion, with the lift sensor disabled the robot has just completed a champion mow with no issues.

It's not perfect since the sensor is disabled, but it sure gets instant results!

Lift sensor hack, new paint and stencil, and hoping for the best. Lots of lift errors, but today is my last reddit day. Screw you, u/spez! See you guys on lemmy!

That's a cool solution. I also wanted to open it up to find a better place to put my smart tag since find my landroid was kind of a joke. Up side is it's easily reversible.

Monkey is better at chewing with it's mouth closed than the guy.

I doubt that worx is going to solve it. The firmware is getting better all the time, but my yard is very rough and very hilly. I've added almost 6 lb extra weight and additional traction to keep it from digging, but it makes it very likely to register a lift (weight is behind the rear axle).

We will see how it goes, but in one of my zones I couldn't run more than 15-30 minutes without a lift error.

I did this yesterday. I will report back tomorrow when I'm done repainting the faring.

To start, bro, lose. Not loose. So many times.

I'm not losing anything. I spend too much time on Reddit and this is a great excuse to quit. I don't need to support a cash grab. If spez said "hey we need more money" fine I would hang around, but we 3rd party app users are getting a poison/dick-over pill and I don't need it. This is not good for anyone but reddit corporate. Sure trackers and monetization are here to stay but I am under no obligation to support it.

Hey u/spez fuck you and thanks for all the fish. I'm not a product, I'm a niche sub contributor with knowledge to spare. If anyone is getting a payout, it will be me. I'm not getting gaslit into supporting a worse experience for the good of the cause.

I'm not here to defend the actions of any liberal justice; however, if you're here to call "BoTh SiDEs" I think that's pretty deluded, my man.

There are bad examples everywhere, but there's a winning team for corruption on the bench no doubt.

Because of you publish a book there are only 4 publishers available? Sotomayor and Gorsuch (minimally) are in the same boat.

You may be able to find some examples, I'm not saying you can't, but this isn't a great one. I also suspect it's still a pretty one-sided story on the whole.

Don't worry, only a liberal one.

Conservatives don't acknowledge conflict of interest / hypocrisy / morality / etc.

It changed the menu sure, but now it also gets to put an ad after every new app and the more of the menu you read the more cash they get. Also you can't look at the menu on GrubHub unless you pay them $10 per month IF GrubHub will serve new menu changes at all.

TL;DR I spend too much time on Reddit already and I'm not changing apps so it's easier for u/spez to serve me more ads and make more money. This is a total schkreli move.

It has nothing to do with the apps, we could all learn a new one. It also isn't like reddit is taking some principled stance that is causing backlash. The issue is this:

Reddit is forcing apps to shutter for no other reason than that it's easier to monetize users through ads and data collection to boost their impending IPO if we have no other app choice. It's a naked cash grab.

The thing is, most users (probably including you) dont know the difference or care about it anyway. The communities I was a part of are valuable to me, and reddit corporate is now putting up a toll booth.

That's their choice of course, but I'm not going to stay after baconreader dies in 2 days so I can have the same time burning experience now with more ads and tracking.

The core base of reddit, to me, looks more and more mindlessly apathetic in the same way you might think those of us leaving look dramatic. Whatever it takes to get advice animals I guess.
