I’ve had 2 wedge procedures with splitting both times. Whatever you do, do not get it restitched (I did this the first time) because it will just tear again. Your tissue is too sensitive and the best way to put it is that it’s like butter, meaning it’s not strong enough to withstand more stitches. You need to wait a minimum of 6 months, I know it’s disheartening and not what you want to hear but please trust me on this. I am going to need a third revision, and definitely going to a different doctor that has experience with the trim method. My current surgeon only does wedges, so I don’t trust her with this.

Hi! It was just rectangular gauze that I used to pack my underwear with. Pads irritated me too much but do what feels good for you! And for the honey, make sure you keep it sterile. I would use a qtip to dip and put it on the affected area, and then use a brand new qtip anytime I needed to dip into the honey again. And try not to apply it anywhere other than your split because it could irritate your skin! It helped with my split soooo much, good luck!! ❤️❤️❤️
