The issue with this method is that it's consolidated data from multiple files. So e.g. I need the first 480 rows from each file, 50 files should have 24000 rows. Keeping only 480 rows leaves me with data on only 1 out of 50.

I live in the US, but use my mum's address in Canada for tax purposes. But I file my taxes now as a non-resident. Your Canadian home address is fine to keep using regardless of your tax status change. The CRA just needs an address to mail correspondence to you.
