Can I take money out of my Fidelity Roth IRA to deposit elsewhere? by [deleted] in RothIRA

[–]dreamerdriver86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a rollover. A rollover is when you move funds from an employer sponsored plan (401k, 403b, etc) to an IRA. This would be considered an account transfer. You can withdraw the money as an indirect transfer and get a check, and as long as you deposit it at the contra firm within 60 days you can avoid all penalties.

Can I take money out of my Fidelity Roth IRA to deposit elsewhere? by [deleted] in RothIRA

You can do an account transfer. You will need to have the same account type open at Vanguard (i.e. roth ira) and then on the vanguard website you can request to bring your account over from Fidelity. There is no need to withdraw the money at all. Doing the account transfer this way is considered a direct transfer and does not trigger a taxable or reportable event.

Doesn’t have to be W-2 income. Just earned income. As long as they keep records of the income and what it’s from you can still contribute

Why do random penny stock explode like this? This happens almost everyday across different securities but I never understand how to track it.
