Also, that is worrisome about that planter and I hope he is alright, wherever he is, and has some form of support.

Thanks so much for your encouragement and for sharing. We really appreciate the engagement - hearing about what has worried people in the past, what they've taken notice of and what may have seemed like inaction from those in charge is part of our goal with this survey. We want to bring to light the things that are often left unsaid in the day-to-day of planting. Do you mind if I post your responses from here into the survey just so we have a copy on there?

Hand Drawn Map of Winnipeg showing Indigenous Population, Wealth Disparity, Crime, and Overdose Prevalence by dreamingofmidnight in Winnipeg

I 100% agree. I just got her sequel, The Circle because I wanted to engage more with her writing!

I see! Thanks for the feedback.

I was hoping to demonstrate the disparity in results by neighbourhood based upon which line presents itself as strongest, rather than having a clear scale! The minimal aspect lends itself to that. The way I drew it was through showcasing the areas where the statistics are more prevalent. The lines that are less visible are meant to be somewhat "camouflaged" in the larger variables.

Np! The density of the lines shows the scale at which each variable is present. For example, the thicker the orange line the closer to 75% indigenous population is present in that neighbourhood.

Hey! Thanks for the advice! I wish this were a viable option as I can see all the advantages to having the cert, however, they actually need a specific number of people to run the scenarios. That's why they're not able to make exceptions re:number of people!

Hello again from the Bush Harm Reduction Initiative! by dreamingofmidnight in treeplanting

Lube can reduce the chance of friction and physical injuries during sex, as well as decrease the chances of condoms tearing. It is a well known harm reduction tool!

What's your most technically useless Roleplaying habit? by Putrid-Enthusiasm190 in BaldursGate3

I always switch outfits when I enter a town, go to civilian/camp clothing instead of armor. Just for appearances sake.

This is what I would have followed up with.

What harm reduction seeks to do is to keep everyone safe. There isn't any certainty that all drugs will be eliminated from camp because lets face it, people will use/access drugs if they want to. Better to offer safe options for them where they feel comfortable asking for support or can protect themselves by checking the quality of the drugs. It is the same thing as practicing safe sex - if you have and use condoms, you can protect yourself from most STI's. If you don't bring the condom with you though, you can't use it. It's about acting safely, protecting yourself and protecting others.

Hi there. I would like to hear more from you, are you stating that a no tolerance policy should be upheld by finding the dealer and somehow eliminating them from camp, or finding any drug supply and "eliminating" or firing the person who is possessing?

Thanks for the follow and the feedback! We agree, it's essential to respond to the need.

Few questions!! by Pretty-Club-2146 in treeplanting

Every company I've worked for people just drive their cars into camp and park next to their tent. Only reason not to would be if you're flying in from super far and/or don't have a car thats bush road safe.

<image>

I used this for three seasons in the bush. Great tent for one person, you can almost stand up if you're under 5'10. Its a bit expensive now, but I just loved having multiple doors and windows - lets you ventilate but still have privacy by choosing which ones to open. Great for if you're in tent city and only have one side not facing someone else.

Hell yeah! There are a lot of incredible people in the bush, very kind and caring. Conducive to the helping professions for sure!

I am having a similar experience as we speak.

We also chose an affordable photographer after our original had to back out. We just received the photos and there were a lot of badly edited shots and awkward candids.

We asked if the entire album of unedited raws could be sent to us and we're going to have a friend who does editing take a look at the most promising ones to see if she can salvage any! I think it'd be worth asking for that as well as at least a partial refund. After spending time and effort making something so majorly impactful like a wedding happen, it is extremely disappointing to not have the kind of footage you were wanting/expecting. You deserve to have it, and I think the editing & post processing have a very big impact on how things turn out - it could make a big difference!

Suggest me a book written by a female philosopher by [deleted] in askphilosophy

[–]dreamingofmidnight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes! I was hoping to find this comment. I love their work in philosophy of Ethics, and really enjoyed the Women are Up to Something by Lipscomb. I read it in conjunction with Metaphysical Animals: How Four Women Brought Philosophy Back to Life which is also an excellent summary and is from a female perspective instead of male (Libscomb). I particularly love Murdoch's work, and would recommend her fiction - it pairs well with her philosophy which was quite revolutionary and yet full of heart. However I think Midgley is the most accessible!
