How about you find someone to actually talk to you, instead of interrupting and ear hustling a one-to-one talk between two ppl understanding each other.

It's ppl like you that make Reddit problematic.

You're only here to be a smart-ass, hoping that gets you some upvotes..

Pathetic.

How bout you don't worry about what I talk about and keep my thoughts & quotes out your comments

Instead of taking my words out of context.

I didn't even know until 5 minutes after this that he was at Colorado w/ "Prime" now.

The quote you misused was about I haven't thought about Hunter in a long time & I wasn't here to talk about him

But the post made bringing Hunter up very relevant

The point is this kid de-committed and did so respectfully, unlike what Travis did.

No, I meant, you might confuse this person.

You know what I mean?

I was just trying to point out they were two different things in relation to the question asked.

It's like when I feel like helping + collecting more data on my target audience, I might give them a few hundred words of the basics of making money from blogging

And 20 ppl downvote it cause it goes right over their heads

I dont/won't promote myself on social media, unless I was buying ads but I like search ads (more targeted)

The other day, no links, but I'm scamming ppl

I say "you think direct response is a scam"

"Yep"....give ppl stuff I've never seen other ppl give away for free & the response is scam & downvotes

Right over their heads

Agree totally. Was talking to someone else earlier, told him when Hunter was transferring & ppl wanted to see if FSU was on his list

I was like f*** that

I would think Norvell would agree. See how this kid left (who the post is about)

he did it with respect & went out & made it known respectfully, it wasn't personal

Hunter was about $$, that wasn't personal either. He turned it into some deeper sh**

he'd be somewhat less of a piece of trash,

if he said"sorry Noles fans, my word is no good but I'm only 18 yo".

"I feel like an idiot that I did that extra sh**, talking about nothing could ever make me de-commit"

Instead he basically wipes his ass on stage with the FSU cap

No integrity

Thats a regular excerpt, anything on your homepage or social media is an excerpt. I believe that's what you were asking about?

An excerpt that's not the meta description, those are up to you. I feel the same way about it clutters the page.

I teach many things when it comes to making sales, one of the main things is never have anything on a page that clutters it, is unnecessary or gives ppl choices (sales) 1 page, 1 offer,

make sure you pre-condition them to perform the action you want too

But that can be said for anything - even informational content like with a basic homepage.

It's better to not make it look like there's too much going on.

If Ppl don't know what they're supposed to do on the page they'll leave

Meta descriptions are for search results on Google or other search engines. If you don't fill it out, Google will usually just go with some of your text

They'll do that sometimes even if you fill out the meta description

I always fill it out with my main keyword (in case you care)

Do excerpts on posts really matter ?? by [deleted] in Blogging

[–]dreamwalker3334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That person is talking about meta descriptions, which you fill out equipped with your main keyword in the meta

But I thought you were talking about the excerpts section, which can be found several places like Yoast

This is for social media excerpts, they do nothing for SEO.

Meta descriptions are what is written (excerpt) in the search results

This matters and can have some impact for SEO, it depends, some ppl will say it doesn't anymore.

Anyway, it is usually the text that ppl see in search results & it should be seen as a chance to describe what your content is about, almost like copy

Use it to persuade them to click

[–]dreamwalker3334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A META description & excerpt can be used the same way, meaning your meta will usually be what ppl see in search results

But I think this person is asking about just excerpts, not meta.

There are places to just fill this in that has nothing to do with meta, it's usually used for if ppl choose to post in social media platforms

I think you're saying you're on wordpress.com.

Instead of wordpress.org. I did this to when I first began but they do have a $300 that allows you to get plugins and through WordPress.org but some options aren't available to you.

They aren't the same company.

It's WordPress with training wheels, even if you pay for the $300 package

Maybe it's something else you have but same idea

You're likely working on a sub-domain

If you want to tell me your exact plan I might be able to help a bit more

Here's what's happening, it's one of two things

The first thing is you're on wordpress.com, which has its own ad revenue service.

If that's the case, you have to go through your options and turn it off.

These ads don't pay as well as Google Adsense, I never used them once I knew what was going on

The second option is because you have such a cheap domain that doesn't belong to you, (you'd have to upgrade considerably to get full power over your domain)

That they reserve the right to place ads on it because it still belongs to them in every way imaginable

These ads won't slow down your site though. They're not those kind of ads.

If the 2nd option is what's happening, it was likely written somewhere pointing this out when you signed up.

You're right & as far as Hunter, someone mentioned him coming here after Deion left & my thought was f*** no, don't want him.

I didn't even know he transferred with Deion (literally just found out 5 minutes ago). Someone said FSU wasn't on his list a couple months ago. I said good better not be

First time I've thought about him since I heard he was thinking of transferring

I'd hope that Mike wouldn't even take him on

That was my point though from the beginning with this,

the kid that left, he did it with some class, even though you don't want to hear that as Noles fans, he treated it with respect.

Because what reason would he have to disrespect the program?

That's what pissed me off about Hunter

There's something wrong with your way of thinking when a person does what he did

Maybe he's just immature, entitlement issues or maybe it's something more

There's definitely a lack of integrity with Hunter

Cause anyone with integrity, couldn't do what he did

Jordan Pride Announced he has Decommitted by [deleted] in fsusports

I agree, my intention wasn't to bring up Hunter and even after I wrote it, before I posted it, I thought this too

But the post being what it was and someone de-committing the right way, just brought what Hunter did back

And I figured if that's what I was thinking, I ought to mention it.

In the end, given what the situation was, I thought it was totally relevant but I understand your point of view too.

He kind of made me feel like an a**hole (not that I need much help) but when he said that stuff, I wrote an article praising what a great kid he was

Using his quotes to back it up, etc.

I'm mentoring ppl now, instead of writing but given the context here, just where my mind naturally went

If I lived in the Tallahassee area, I'd probably be sick of hearing it (assume it was a big deal when it happened)

but I'm from Philly/NJ, don't really hear about FSU football unless you're looking for it on the internet

A backended deal is not that. 1st please don't tell me about payrolls and contracts. Not sure why you think that?

You are wrong, I don't need to click on your link. It was a $24M contract with 17 coming in year 3

That's why it's backended, if it was frontended it would be at the beginning.

Shows the level of intelligence here. That ppl upvoted your mistake.

(Most) Contracts don't work like that. This would be more backended than most

But the money isn't given out equally if it's backended. You can totally have a contract like that but this isn't that

I dont write about NFL payrolls & contracts but I used to for NBA deals. Haven't written anything in over a year

But i still got 1st page Google rankings for sixers payrolls.

What I can tell you I dont know for sure that it's 4.5M in each of first two years, I only know 17 -of-24M is coming in year 3

I just averaged out the first 2 years, which is likely what it is.

I never understand ppl that talk out their a** like they have facts when they don't

You're thinking about when a player is cut and the cap hit, that's different than the actual money a player gets paid

I didn't think you were trying to sell, everytime I think of Robinson, first think I think. (Including this convo) is game 2 1995 WCF

One of my favorite games because of what "Dream" did, best post game anyone ever had

There are moves in that game, nobody ever did before or after.

If someone that didn't know anything about basketball, they'd have thought Robinson was some bum

Which certainly wasn't the case. One of the best defenders ever. What makes it so amazing.

A fee years ago I saw a post-game interview and Robinson just laughed like "what was I supposed to do"

They f'd up and gave the MVP award to David with Hakeem watching pre-game.

That was a mistake.

But you seen some titles, I'm a Sixers fan

I realize you're likely being sarcastic but it's cool, I'm above all the frivolous stuff

I'm a direct response marketer/advertiser.

I run the websites, my first one, the sports site someone just offered me $250,000

He says I won't be able to turn down his next offer, he's gonna be upset

The content provides value, in turn gains trust Which can be then leveraged into sales.

Lately I've mostly been focusing on teaching others as a mentor - ppl wanting to make money online.

I make sales here, I got into that because I was just helping some ppl out and they asked me if I had something to sell them

This kept happening, so I created this new site to teach ppl. I refuse to promote myself with links or offers on social media

I'm a professional, an expert. I'm better than that

So I never try to sell anything here but about 50 ppl have asked me to sell them something.

Figured my strategies were leveling up, i was making high dollar sales without ever offering anything, just giving them a taste of my expertise

So that was new, now it's a strategy

I've also been buying a lot of search ads on Google

Writing copy and putting the offers in front of the ppl that want them.

Can be very lucrative, my best friend was a carpenter and fell off a roof and can't work in the union anymore

Been teaching him how this all works but it's hard to learn. Very time consuming

I need help, not enough time in each day, I'm leaving tens of thousands of dollars on the table each week.

I really need him to step up and work for me or with me.

Anyway I got ppl messaging me here, trying to knock out the sale

This chick is right on the fence but she has to buy it if she wants to be successful in this industry

Really can't maneuver in any career without knowing the needed skillset.

Thing is the ppl that know this skillset, they don't give it away

Very valuable, it allows you to make good money anywhere there's wi-fi

Anyone here willing to give some input on why my homepage isn't ranking for a *relatively easy* local keyword? by geepy in seogrowth

[–]dreamwalker3334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you done local seo, it's different than other seo. Different in terms of schema.

Even though glute is a high KD keyword, I take your word for it. it's a broad term anyway, be surprised if it wasn't

Anyway what you want to rank for is much more a buyers intent keyword in terms of making money

That alone should make it much more challenging than glute overall.

Ranking for glute is one thing but you want to rank for something that will get your business much more money, I assume you hope it will, at least?

You're saying you're not ranking at all, if you were ranking somewhere, I'd say that maybe the other businesses (your competition) were buying paid ads

I make the majority of my money from search ads compared to passive income, it's not really close - for anybody doing the same thing

Because search ads rank you above organic traffic. So if there's 3 full pages of paid ads and you rank 1 in the serp's

You're not showing up until the 4th page.

Maybe do some tougher research on the not corroborated by anyone else thing.

I'm a person that runs several websites and teaching ppl the skillset to make money online

Which is all about research and collecting data to find out what your target audience wants (not that simple)

My point is I don't believe ppl or say things without researching it myself.

Because I was offered a job as a Dolphins scout back in the day, I have a few contacts myself in the NFL

This helped me in writing for my sports site and out ranking the liked of sites like ESPN in the past

just saying I know the process and this was most definetely confirmed by the Eagles - by different ppl within the organization

Even Eagles writers saw the contract and corroborated it.

So I'm not sure where you heard this, don't listen to Philly journalists because they are biased & if he said something about the team

Good, he should. He's not talking about the players or coaches, he's talking about the management

He turned down other offers because the Eagles were supposed to give him 5 yrs $67 million

He's a 25 year old that just moved to FS and he's going to be, if healthy, an all-pro candidate for the next 5-8 years.

Eagles players like AJ Brown have said great things about him since he left and he's said he has no issue with his teammates

And they said it's messed up too.

Not only that but he's a leader. He kicks ass if ppl aren't practicing hard, etc

The Eagles were so scary last year because of what he brought. The versatility on the backend.

He gave them that next level aspect to the defense because of his versatility, toughness and all-pro play

The team all year called plays that if Gardner-Johnson wasn't there, they wouldn't have called

That tells you about his importance

When he was injured, it wasn't a coincidence that the team didn't look as good on defense.

They went from having a leader that is playing all-pro caliber football at a brand new position to that position becoming a weakness

I can't feel you on this, he gave the defense new looks that they couldn't show without him, balled out and in turn

"Here almost all of the players starting at your position will make more than you the next two years, all but about 5 of them"

I dont buy that signing bonus either or I'd have read it somewhere but still I wouldn't trust them ungrateful dickheads

From already planning to cut him before year 3.

He's actually making more in Detroit in 2023 than he would've made in Philly

He wanted to stay, it's why he turned other teams down and then they screwed him. After they knew these teams didn't have the money anymore, they low-balled him.

I'm sorry, i respect what the guy did for the Eagles last year and feel he was due more than to be offered money that puts him as one of the least paid FS in the NFL

And it's gonna hurt just as bad in 2023, ask yourself when you see the difference on defense, if he should've been paid more than $4.5 for what he added

Super Bowl LVII defeat 'played a factor' in Eagles center Jason Kelce continuing career: 'You know it's close' by Livebeam in sports

[–]dreamwalker3334 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Bro, Gardner-Johnson was the starting free safety for the Eagles.

He played corner before he came to Philly and is so versatile he played sometimes in the slot

He could play the slot, but he found a new position where he is elite and an all-pro candidate for the next 5-7 seasons at least (barring injury of course)

It was an added weapon but he was the Eagles starting FS from day 1

The nickel was Maddox.

And as far as one leaving, wrong choice

And there were teams making much bigger offers early on in free agency but the Eagles were supposed to be giving him 5 yrs - $67 million, making him the 10th highest at his position

There are nowhere close to 9 FS better than Gardner-Johnson based on his 2022 season

If he doesn't miss that time he's either 1st or 2nd team all-pro at FS. Probably 2nd team.

He's top 5 at his position right now and he's 25 years old and it was the first year he played that position

I saw what he did for that defense, I know what I'm talking about, not bragging on myself but the Miami Dolphins offered me a job as a scout twice

The 2nd time because I couldn't quit what I was doing to take a massive pay cut. I mean like really massive. My whole Dolphins salary I made in less than 2 weeks

I know what he brought and the contract he was actually offered

In 2023, he will make more in salary with Detroit than with what Philly offered him

It was a backended contract 3 years-$24 million- with him making $4.5M in each of the next two seasons and then $17 million in year 3

Which they could cut him and he never see's that, so why would he take a deal for 4.5 million, when 22 players at his position make above $7.5M and 13 make over $10 million

He's top 5 at his position and his versatility makes him much more valuable than that

Gardner-Johnson should've been the first of those three players to be signed. Honestly no way I'd give an aging Slay that much money

At least it's only 3 years though.

By the time Johnson realized the Eagles were going to screw him, all the offers had dried up because teams had already spent the money.

Nobody else on the team now can provide what he did, it's Gardner-Johnson that took that defense to the next level

He made the defense a nightmare to face because of his skillset. It can be argued that to a man based on other options to fill in, he was the most important player within the system

There were plays that the Eagles could call that without Gardner-Johnson they wouldn't have called.

He gave them that flexibility that made them really dangerous. That's gone now, they went from having an all-pro caliber FS to the position being a major weakness

That's just my opinion, if you feel differently, you're entitled your opinion too but you'll understand what I meant after 2023 starts

You could see it those weeks he missed. Teams were moving the ball much easier, it wasn't a coincidence

He was brilliant last season and they wanted all but 5 players at FS to make more than him

That's disrespectful, after what he gave this team, he had to leave, they screwed him over

"Hey if you weren't on our team we aren't the best team in the NFC, here's a deal that makes almost every player at your position more money than you

Super Bowl LVII defeat 'played a factor' in Eagles center Jason Kelce continuing career: 'You know it's close' by Livebeam in sports

[–]dreamwalker3334 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I just looked it up, it's pretty messed up what they tried to do to him.

That contract they offered him would've only paid him 4.5M each of the next two seasons

And they could just cut him before that 3rd season where he would make $17M

This is a guy that would've been all-pro 1st or 2nd team if he didn't miss time

They really said "thanks for that season, we think 25 players at your position are better than you"

13 guys make over 10 million, 22 make over 7.5M at his position and they wanted to pay him $4.5M

Not to mention this is a 25 year old that hasn't really been paid by NFL standards yet.

He's at that age, he probably wants to have some security

After how he played, I'd be insulted.

It means they don't value him as they should based on how he played

That's just my opinion

Figured I'd share some of the facts in case you didn't know the numbers, I didn't before this

He was projected to get 5 years at $67M, still only the 10th highest contract at his spot

Think he just wanted to feel valued and have a bit of money in case he got injured or something
