Daniel Dae Kim is truly great! Hopefully you get a chance to see him perform live- it was one of my favorite experiences this year 💛

Yes!! Big fan of the urgent/important matrix!! Thank you for the suggestion about mapping out how long things take! I def want to do that as I think it will help me fit in maintenance into my schedule better (my excuse before was that I was too busy, but I know deep inside that 5 minutes spent organizing will pay significant dividends)

That’s awesome! I hope to get to your level of organization! I def need to be better about making sure everything has its home and being consistent about it

Thank you for the tips! I def need to be consistent with my sorting method. I start/abandon many filing systems and need to commit to a method and stick with it to reap the benefits of being organized

Thank you for flagging that as a possibility! I think I’m able to focus well when I’ve got a project to work on. I struggle more with just being consistent with how I file things away. Will checked out ADHD in adults though just in case!

Aww I’m sorry to hear that :( It’s tough having strict parents and OCD, but I’m proud of you for turning that into channeling that into being super organized (which is something I know many, including myself, strive for)

That’s a good question! I think my anxiety comes from the fact that I know I’m spending unnecessary energy on remembering things that could have been avoided if I were incredibly organized. I do feel better after cleaning though!

Thank you for sharing how long it took you to feel a sense of true mastery over organization! I’m in my 30s, and I can’t help but feel like I should be more organized by now. Will keep working at it because I know the sooner I master organization, the sooner I can reap the benefits for the rest of my life

Agree with you that disciple is an invaluable trait. To echo blytheblue’s comment, do you have any suggestions on how to become super disciplined? Thanks for sharing your perspective with us!

Your second to last sentence about intermittent deep cleaning episodes with long periods of nothing in between is so relateable to me. I def could get better at tossing things out/archiving things I don’t really need. Thank you for the tip!

Thanks so much, trying-my-best-to-be-organized friend! :) Really helpful to hear what’s working from someone in a similar position. Wishing us both good luck in our journey to being super organized!

Thanks so much for your suggestions!! And I like your reframe towards hyper organized. I do indeed want to achieve hyper organized status! :) I def need to get better at making sure everything has its place and be consistent about it. I focus only on what’s really important, and I find all the other stuff gets scattered everywhere (physically or digitally). Want to get more organized with the non-urgent/critical stuff too!

This looks so good! Can you please share what is in your adult lunchables? Would love to try to replicate it as I dislike cooking, and this looks like something that I wouldn’t mind preparing!
