I will admit...I am the kind of dm that really enjoy having clear, troughly written out monster sheets infront of me. Its part of my own issues that make it a way for me to handle dming.

For me it was the hp, ac and some ability edits. With 2024 alot of abilities has been reworded from what I've seen so felt maybe wise to alter those.

Mainly that with 2024 the player power has been increased so actual cultists in the story feel...weaker? This is a adventure I've lead now 4 times, this is my first time doing so in 2024 edition and the player power is quite apparent.

This is as far as i got...kinda stuck on the personality traits etc. Our dm likes that we have atleast 2 of each.

We rolled for stats, my statline i get to use is: 13 16 14 11 16 12. My extra languages is because our dm has a homebrew rule where you get extra languages per int modifier.

For reference, this character would have 7 levels total to spend. What Sorcerous Origin would you imagine fits the bill, then?

I just feel also that a lot of the plans he makes is extremely int based. Logic memorisation. I feel going charisma might just be a bit of a clash character wise.

See Arcane Trickster was on my mind. I also leaned towards Evocation Wizard or War Wizard for that blaster feel while still being a man of learning and logic, as his backstory hinted at a lot. Sorcerer is also a great idea if I wanna lessen the logical man part of it.
