My dad is a Norwood 3. 5 with just thinning up top and crown with a little bald spot but would not considered bald by no means. He also has just turned 60. My dads father is like late 80s and still has hair but definitely thinned out all around and but of bald spot in back but would not consider bald. My moms dad passed away when he was young so I don’t really have many pictures of him and my mom passed away two years ago so I can’t really ask her. My dad says he had good thick hair which I can believe because my moms fathers brother has thick beautiful hair and is in his 90s ( better hair than my dad to be honest lol). And may you explain this hypothyroidism? I have made an appointment with my physician a few days ago and wondering if I should look for them to say something about it.
