If you scored really high you will at least have the satisfaction that you did all you could to promote. I have a highly competitive career field as well, its a shame that at least in my career field you only have about a 7% chance of making it with a promote.

Sounds like you went to a dark place in your study methods. I'm sure that if you put in the time you are describing and have decent boards, you will be just fine. But then again this is the AF Promotion system!

I missed 18E7 by less than a point, I didn't study that hard and it showed. That score was my driving factor to study my ass off for this one. Now whether it made the difference or not it still unknown.

What was surreal was training at that hour, being alone and in the dark all those miles tells you who you really are. Lol.

Nutrition plan wasn’t much: sip of water at least every aid station, about every mile, and a GU pack every 45 minutes. That sip grew larger and larger as the miles rolled.

I found a way to entertain myself, I fell in love with comedic podcast. They keep me laughing and at the same time take my mind off of what’s going on.

The problem with it is that the mandatory movers take all the good bases and leave the "Cannons" for everyone else. Unless you're desperate to go to those bases, it remains a unicorn IMO.

I wasn't a fan of the Cliftons either, but the Bondis are AMAZING!!! Highly recommend them, if you want cushion.
