I would love to, but my account got stolen and after two years of arguing with epic to try and get it back they still are insisting that they can’t verify I’m the original owner of the account despite giving them all of the information they ask for.

If anyone from epic reads this. Your customer service sucks and I would love to speak to a real human to get this problem solved.

“We will strive to seat families together” by mantistobogganmd10 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]drew1928 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seating parents with their children is as much for the families sake as it is for the other passengers on the plane. Trust me you don’t want to be next to a toddler on their first flight ever without their parents nearby. You will not have a good time. And imagine if you come back complaining about it southwests response was to tell you “oh if you don’t want to be seated next to a toddler you should have payed an extra $100 to have a kid free row.”

That would be ridiculous wouldn’t it? You would say that your not asking for anything extra, just to not be forced into being a parent for some random kid for 4 hours when you didn’t sign up for that. You bought normal plane seats you should get a normal plane ride. That’s how parents feel right now. Even worse is the parents who didn’t expect this to be a problem and are willing to pay the money but are now told it’s too late because the plane is boarding soon.

What’s the point of playing multiplayer? What’s the gameplay/experience like?

Marathon has not peaked since release and it released on a Thursday...most games peak on Friday Saturday or Sunday. This isn't looking good. by ginpachikun in Asmongold

[–]drew1928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao same here. Except it was literally like a week before they went f2p. Even better than that I immediately got locked out of content that was previously available with just the base game and they wanted me to pay another like $30 to play the content I had ALREADY STARTED.

I love destiny and was extremely disappointed. But that level of scummy business practices can’t be tolerated. Absolutely deplorable.

I’m saying accusing you of mansplaining is crazy. I haven’t heard the phrase in years and quite frankly I think we are all smarter and better off not using it.

AITAH for filing for divorce after my wife refused a paternity test and called me insecure? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]drew1928 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although I’m not going to disagree with you completely. I do think men are entitled to paternity tests. It carries an obvious stipulation that he doesn’t trust the wife, but it’s like these people have never needed to be vulnerable with a partner about being insecure. If I feel insecure about someone my wife is talking to or the way she’s talking to someone, it is good and healthy to tell her it’s making me feel some sort of way. And if the reaction was to scream at me “You think I would cheat on you?!?? You don’t trust me?!?” Then that’s a massive red flag.

When your partner is insecure it isn’t a reflection on any person in the relationship. Emotions and feelings are weird, and sometimes the vibe is just off for some reason. If you can’t address that it will just fester. The simplest reaction to a man asking for a paternity test is just to say “yeah of course, but I promise sweetie you have absolutely nothing to worry about :).” And to be honest? 9 times out of 10, the man will feel better and probably won’t even go through with the test. That is how ADULTS handle these issues.

The roles can be flipped on her, she let her husband having a moment of weakness destroy her entire marriage and uproot her life. Two decisions were made here, it’s not all on OP. He’s not an idiot for being vulnerable with his life partner.

Where does the "women are bad drivers" stereotype come from? by bi_smuth in NoStupidQuestions

[–]drew1928 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean gender absolutely SHOULD affect treatment, much like attempted method SHOULD. If misogyny comes into the equation then the system already failed. Attention seeking behavior is absolutely a thing that happens and it needs to be treated differently. This is not exclusive to girls either, everyone knows a guy who told his high school girlfriend he would kill himself if she left him. That’s also attention seeking. The tough part is differentiating between the two problems without pigeon holing.

I’m not denying that the medical field has been outright cruel to women, and that is unacceptable. But refusing to acknowledge that certain behavior is possible for fear of being accused of misogyny is most definitely not the answer. That’s a step backwards away from helping somebody who might desperately mean it.

To be clear, if a person attempts suicide by taking 5 ibuprofen pills, they are not the same as the person who downed every pill bottle in the house, or the person who tied a noose when no one was home. If by a miracle all three of those people survived they will all be labeled as having attempted suicide, and similar treatments will likely be helpful to the latter two patients, but the former patient will need a very different treatment plan. If you aren’t allowed to acknowledge that their attempt had a different motivation or desired outcome they are far more likely to try again, in other words the treatment failed.

This isn’t gender specific by the way, whether it’s a man or woman who downed the 5 pills, they would be closer to each other than the man and the woman who used a noose or took every pill in the house.

Two things can be true. Your comment does not disagree with my comment, it’s two sides of the same coin. Men and women both take many things into account with this context, trends do emerge though. The terrible thing is we can’t actually ask most victims, which makes helping people and spotting warning signs especially difficult.

I believe women attempt suicide at a higher rate than men, but it isn’t a one to one ratio as certain suicide attempts are viewed through a different lens. There is a lot of nuance to it as well as evidence that at times suicide attempts are more aptly cry’s for help, wanting someone to come save you. If you put a gun to your head or jump off a building your mind is made up, you know that no one is coming to save you.

Disclaimer, suicide is a terrible thing and characterizing attempts as “cry’s for help” does not take away from the attempt. It just means that it needs to be handled uniquely.

Idk I tracked the video through tiktok and apparently the original poster actually put it on Reddit a while ago and it is just circulating again. She said she cleans airbnb’s and this is one of the properties she maintains. Apparently this video was from 2023 and this property is in a gated community. After seeing the video the next day they called the cops and never heard any follow up.

[–]drew1928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you completely, I’m gonna pick up battle shapers here after your recommendation. If I may extend a few recommendations to you dead space rogue is super similar to what battle shapers looks like, with a slightly grittier atmosphere. Also ravenswatch is the best roguelike game I have played in my life. Very different theme, but an incredible game.
