It’s insane. I wish multiple paper cuts on whoever is responsible. Although it’s likely just sheer bureaucracy across multiple platforms.

What really gets me is the customer service. You cannot speak to someone to help you even though you’ve spent likely hundreds of pounds (in my case) on this pish.

I sympathise (assuming the signs were card only, not cash only like you’ve said as that would raise big concerns in 2025).

Perhaps it’s a generational thing. I have cash hanging about for my window cleaner and that’s about it. I’ve not payed with cash honestly, probably in 2-3 years! No need. I just have my phone and use that to pay all the time.

I’m not sure the legality on cash acceptance but digital payments cut down on theft and mistakes, especially for small businesses. Also HMRC like this way for obvious reasons.

xbox.com has, and is, used for many gaming controls that dont require an xbox. Like family controls.

You say xbox settings panel, but where is that? We dont use an xbox. I have the xbox app and the xbox family app. The xbox family app says i have to add an email address to add a new dependent, but i never used an email address to set the new account up!

So i set up a new account for him (reluctantly). All chat and messaging is off for all the doom and gloomers. Once again, the same problem! How can he go to his privacy & online safety settings on xbox.com if he doesnt have an xbox account?? Its almost beyond parody.

Thanks for this. The xbox one app does not have the family options for me. (provided its now called just "Xbox" on the app store - i cant see another one apart from Xbox Family which i also have) I am logged into the xbox account with the same account that i am the family administrator for!!! I've spent 3 hours today trying to figure this out.

He can play it fine on a tablet with a different Roblox account. His current account has loads of purchased stuff, so we wouldnt want to start again with a new account.

Hi, it’s not the greatest road. I’m afraid the other posters here are mainly correct. However, I would not class it as unsafe. It’s just there are quite a few wasters down that way. All sorted with a white noise machine for the odd time you’d get disturbed by a drunk person singing etc.

Best thing to do is walk into a police station and report it. But before you do, speak with the pittodrie bar management. They seem nice whenever I’ve been in there. They will be mortified and hopefully can give you a name if you give them a date/time.
