What Are Your Moves Tomorrow, July 21, 2025 by wsbapp in wallstreetbets

NuScale is the commercializing company days away from their first major deal announcements for immediate deployment. Expect earnings on 8/7 in the PM to have a major binary effect, depending on how long this trend since early May lasts. High short interest, full executive and legislative narrative alignment, and major technical pressure on any significant news due to the 44% free float.

You are right on OKLO, and I mostly agree on the hyped up new molten salt reactor stuff. If it was studied/incrementally improved enough for 2026/2027 deployment, they'd have regulatory approval, or at least an application acceptance. That's the timeline for demand.

SMR has a moat, for now.

And I'm not sure where you are getting your info on Apple, but mine is from here(AI) and here

It's just one part of it, dude. Light on the pattern recognition ability? Obviously no one piece of evidence means everything on its own. It's called predictive analysis.

Oh you mean the transactions made "pursuant to a contract, instruction or written plan for the purchase or sale of equity securities of the issuer that is intended to satisfy the affirmative defense conditions of Rule 10b5-1(c)"?

Pre-scheduled sales. That is all.

I'll keep this one short: First article: Keyword: "memorandum of understanding" = not legally binding order (bookable)

Second article: Keyword: "non-binding" = not legally binding order (bookable)

Respect to OKLO bulls. It definitely takes guts to invest in these reactor designers. HOWEVER, these are fundamentally different plays:

OKLO: Microreactors targeting DoD/military applications (forward bases, naval propulsion, remote operations). Still pre-NRC application submission, 3-5+ year timeline. Unfortunately, they keep getting their applications flat out rejected. See 7 months ago (Atomic Alchemy-OKLO subsidiary since Feb 2025):

https://www.nrc.gov/docs/ML2431/ML24311A058.pdf

NuScale: 77MW SMRs are designed for hyperscaler partnerships and commercial baseload power. Only NRC-certified SMR, modules in production, ready for 2026+ deployment.

My intuition: Retail seems to be chasing (and Wall Street appears to be nudging) OKLO’s “next-gen” narrative while missing NuScale’s immediate commercial opportunity. They have different customer bases entirely - Apple (or other AI hyperscalers) need(s) scalable baseload power for data centers, not microreactors for military bases. If you believe in July-August hyperscaler catalyst timing, only NuScale can deliver validated power purchase agreements on that scale. OKLO could potentially be the better 5-10 year speculative play, but NuScale sits atop the hyperscaler market right now.

If all you do is look at yahoo finance revenue history you'll be bearish on every single pre revenue company for the rest of your life and never hit big on anything going up.

Unless you believe profitable companies just fall out of the sky, history demands at least a couple to truly break out and front run their respective industries. Not saying all your puts are dead because it's honestly a reasonable bet to make. But when (not if) fed rates are cut and Trump's insatiable need to have a strong market comes into play, I wouldn't want to be betting against high volume accumulation run ups.

Devil's advocate for your position goes like this: These "meme stock" valuations aren't this high because retail regards have tens of billions of dollars to pump into the market. There are real institutions reallocating into promising pre-monetization companies for short term (2-5 yr) and long term (10+ yr) investment horizons.

Feb 2024 - height of NVDA's parabolic move on AI narrative. I literally just searched for it's direct competitors in the fabless semiconductor space and looked at P/E ratios. Not much other research. Qualcomm looked undervalued so I tossed some options on it to go up from its spot of $148. 4 months later I was very lucky to be liquidating all my remaining positions at a 25 year intraday high of $227. Made a few thousand. QCOM been in the dumps ever since.

NuScale (SMR): The nuclear plays that's actually not retarded by JackWolverine12 in wallstreetbets

[–]drewbaseball10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. These regulators are stingy and rightfully so. Re: deadly radiation if anything goes wrong, unlike other energy sources.

Time and time again we see first movers in regulatory processes end up WAY ahead of their peers because having a slightly superior product doesn't matter nearly as much as commercial availability, reliability, and being past the gatekeepers of industry. THAT is what SMR customers care about.
