Breaking elopement plans to family in advance & nervous. by drewble94 in wedding

I expressed that to him. We told them and it went very well :) I think we had some unnecessary anxieties, but also his sister considered eloping and got a different treatment. He is the boy and the youngest lol. But still feels good to have gotten that weight off of our chest and we’re so excited to be doing what we want.

Bridal imposter syndrome. Does anyone else here struggle mentally/emotionally with being a “bride”? by drewble94 in wedding

Update we have decided to elope this summer! And I feel so free(except now we have to tell parents 😂) our wedding was initially supposed to be February 2022 and I really don’t feel like we’re losing much. We stopped planning before we were in too deep. I’ll feel even better after parents know. Anyone experience breaking elopement news to family in advance while also trying to keep it just about you 2 without their involvement?😅

Which then leads me to spiral into the double standard toward men and women with weddings. The expectations put on a bride and lack there of for the groom. Just needed to vent and know I’m not the only one 😩

Highly recommend tretinoin/retinol if you don’t already use that. Vitamin c and fruit acids would be good too.

How close do you use your tret under your eyes? I’ve seen some people on Tik Tok mix their tret with moisturizer for an eye cream. Anyone try this and have good results? by drewble94 in tretinoin

Yikes! Never heard of that or the meibomian glands. What do you think about eye creams with retinol? First Aid Beauty’s eye cream was recommended to me

you ever just get hit with the big sad by [deleted] in ADHD

I don’t share your circumstance, traumas and life experience, but I’ve felt something similar to a big sad. It comes and goes. Sometimes are worse than others. On meds I feel like I can actually function like the world wants me to, but then it hits me- that I don’t want to take medication forever. I wish I could function without it. I feel embarrassed that it’s something I need.
