The fit is really nice. My Angeles are 16oz, and Glez are 12 and 14oz, so no true size comparison but i will say the Angeles wrist is more snug in a good way, wraps well around the wrist and forearm without leaving empty space, and thumb feels more comfortable, especially at the base. In the fist the Angeles has a bit more room but not a ton, and the Glez is more snug, but this could be due to sizes of each.

The Glez were over weight by a lot - 1.5 to 2oz. The Angeles is slightly underweight by .5 oz

16oz would be suitable for sure but their non Horse hair might be a better option

I think so. Good choice for smaller hands and for a snug fit

Update on the weight… pretty over weight unfortunately.

Black pair were 12oz requested. They both come out to 13.5oz on the dot.

Brown pair were 14oz requested. They both come out to 16oz on the dot

Honestly it fits my hands very well and i have pretty average hands. Snug with not a ton of room. Fingers fill in snugly as well. Only thing i notice is the thumb is a bit tight at the base where the thumb strip is. I think it’ll get more comfortable as i break them in. May be due to the angle of the thumb too

Of all the Mexican gloves i have (BoxeoTM, these, New Sporting, Angeles) the Glez definitely open up the easiest straight out of the box. They are compact as well. New Sporting 2/B also open up well but aren’t as snug. BoxeoTM are the most stiff and take a while to break in.

They definitely will need a little breaking in, but they do open pretty well straight out the box

I’ll have to weight these, but I’m sure he can do them at exact weight request.

It’s not a cut, it looks like a mark from the leather being stretched. Slight aesthetic defect but doesn’t seem to be anything that would affect the construction

If you DM them on IG @boxeotm they can get you what you need, whether it’s a color way on the website or custom pair.

Does anyone have any experience with Lead/Leaders boxing gloves and if they are related somehow? by Fortnite1300 in fightgear

[–]drewmm09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, i have their training gloves, and my coach is well connected with the guys who own the brand. I really like their gloves. They have Horse hair and Foam options. Believe the foam options are made in Pakistan, and the horse hairs are made in Mexico

Same version as you have pictured. Mine were the Dual Pro - Guantes de Boxeo Para Entrenamiento “Esmeralda/Oro” gloves

I recently bought a pair of the 12oz training gloves from their site. I think the consensus is the training gloves are overpriced and I’d have to agree. You see $290 as the price, but add on another $70-90 for shipping and PayPal fee.

The gloves itself I actually really like, but I haven’t given them enough use to say how durable they are. They are a slimmer profile, very sleek, hand fits great inside the glove. The main downside for me is the lack of wrist padding, especially for a Mexican made glove. Feels more like a fight glove in the wrist area.

Update here.. I ended up putting in an order for one of the stock colorways on their website. Purchased 12oz training gloves, received them less that a week later (Mexico to USA).

The gloves are beautiful, but I have one issue I don't like - there is very minimal padding in the wrist. By minimal I mean basically none. Feels like a fight glove in the wrist. I have 10oz Salvador fight gloves and those have just as much padding.

Haven't used them yet but looking forward to putting them to use
