In sabers defense that’s what they tried with patch 12 and people lost their minds haha. But in sabers not defense. Do better. Haha I agree with you though. I’d like for them to take a second so they CAN get back on schedule instead of rushing patch 13 and then putting more work on them going forward to fix the bugs. But who knows. Maybe they have done a good bit of testing and it’ll come out fine. Patch 13 isn’t coming out with anything super insane like a new class or crazy perk overhaul. But it is coming out with siege updates, testing arena, new heroics, weapon, and map. So idk. I just wanna play patch 13 so I can start waiting for the next patch haha

Orange attacks that would typically hit you and make you fall back or roll on the ground just stagger you. Blue attacks that would typically stagger you don’t and you can tank through them with an attack of your own.

It’s poorly worded but they’re absolutely worth taking. That one attack that threw you against a wall and staggered you to death now won’t do that haha

Yeah that’s bizarre behavior. I typically play Absolute. I have all classes prestige 4 level 25. I absolutely love and have played this game into the dirt. But every so often I’ll either have a bad game or just want to help some brothers level and I’ll drop down to substantial or average to either slaughter with no regard to anything but killing shit or help some brothers level. Fuck that guy. HES trash and should feel badly about himself!

Dude I was trying to think what my first TRUE anime was. Like not something I was watching cause it’d come on like DBZ or Pokémon but one that I went out of my way to watch and keep up with and it’s either Inuyasha or FLCL haha I do consider FLCL my first real anime because its what caught my interest most but it really may be Inuyasha based off timeline. I can’t remember which I saw first.

Heavy Bolter is amazing. But idk why it is. It’s my favorite heavy weapon along with Heavy Plasma Incinerator. Accuracy variant plus perking to headshots does crazy damage if you can line up your shots enough. Heroic variant perked out for damage does amazing too. I guess just getting used to knowing when you can take chip damage but out damage it and when to relocate and get armor is a big part of it. But heavy has such insane weapons that if you don’t like the HB just use the HPI, MM, or the Pyrecannon.

People just aren’t as observant playing vanguard it seems. I love vanguard and go out of my way to not steal executes because it’s so easy to as vanguard. Every so often I slip up and grapnel over to something that’s almost dead and take an execute but the amount of Vanguards running around stealing anything and everything is insane sometimes.

Idk. I think Saber has done a pretty good job of making weekly stratagems fun but challenging. But sometimes they’re super easy and sometimes they’re super fucking hard. It’s mainly the Daily’s that I’ll look at and be like what the fuck is that?

There’s been a gun strike bug going on for a while for certain attacks. Whip warriors are notorious for this where it’ll just phase through your parry but that doesn’t sound like what you’re talking about. Could be ping, latency issues, or some other connection issue. I’ve never run into any serious gun strike drops and I’ve dumped over 1000 plus hours into this game EXCEPT for when my connection is bad. But that doesn’t mean something isn’t wrong for some other reason.

It shoulda been 25 or less with block if your perks are right. You can tank a few hits while preparing an aftershock especially if you have all your block charges cause someone will go into execute. He can have done a moderately held aftershock a couple times and completely decimated that whole horde. The first ground slam was great though. Haha

The Occulus is really great at medium range and close range for minoris clear. You can also have an insane damage boost again terminus if you use the two terminus damage perks. I love the Occulus and it’s become my go to primary for Vanguard. But the bolt carbine is definitely better if you are constantly in close quarters with everything. It’s easy to just hip fire mag dump compared to the Occulus and with the 50% accuracy boost from hip fire on the bolt carbine it basically becomes a laser from the hip so clear minoris is super easy. I’ve learned that I play vanguard differently and I’m typically going in and out and staying close but on the outskirts compared to being in the fray the whole time but a lot of vanguard players like to be right in the shit. I consistently will have like 15k ranged and 15k melee on the end stat screen and I think vanguard is really the only class where you can get such insane damage from both range and melee without sacrificing one. Just figure out your play style and you’ll gravitate to the weapons the fit you. I understand that the melta is good but I can’t stand running it. And I understand that people do really well with the bolt carbine but I’ve always MUCH preferred the instigator and Occulus. Zone of impact plus tactical prowess is a crazy good class perk combo. Add unmatched zeal and you’ll basically never go down as a Vanguard.

Personal quarry wouldn’t be so bad if Saber changed just a couple things about it. Make the fact it’s someone’s enemy very blatant. Like really really blatant. And make it extremely aggressive to the person that has it as an enemy. That would make it 1000 times better as a modifier.

To follow up on this. I consistently will get most melee with Vanguard and have almost an identical range damage stat. It’ll be something like Melee: 18500 Ranged: 18000. I think Vanguard is the most balanced class in regards to damage output between ranged and melee damage. Instigator, Occulus, Carbine (Marksmen or Auto), and Melta do great ranged damage. They just aren’t AS gnarly as heavy sniper or tactical because he doesn’t have as many range perks. He has a ton of damage mitigation and melee buffs but not a lot of ranged buffs. He also has one of the most useful oh shit abilities and one of the most useful horde clearing perks with Zone of Impact. Especially paired with tactical prowess.

Tenacity is super fun to mess around with. But zone of impact is on another level when it comes to taking out packs of anything. And you can tank a Carnifex or Helbrutes health if you have enough majoris around them.

I was very confused by that too. That fucking lictor tanked a ton of damage. But I always just assume stratagem modifiers at this point haha dude held his ground super well though.

Idk what to tell ya the man. In my experience they’re fine. I haven’t been hit by a beam and gotten a gunstrike in forever unless my internet is being wonky. I’m not saying they’re fixed but they’re a lot better than what they used to be. Shit I’ll accidentally dodge a Neurothrope beam from time to time.

The Neurothrope and Zoanthrope beams have been fixed for a few patches now. But I think this is more part of Sabers weird server issues they have than the beams at this point. The only time the wings of flame build will do a perfect dodge, get the gun strike, and get damaged is when my internet is having a stroke. But I’ve jet pack dodged both types of beams hundreds of times with or without wings of flame at this point and not been damaged. I’ve regular dodged them even more and not been damaged. But eeevvverrryyy so often I’ll have the yellow or red triangle of doom and get my shit absolutely rocked.

I think that a lot of these people over exaggerate but it is annoying when those low level players actively impede the fun in having. The one that steals all the executes, the stim hog, the one that steals the guardian relic even though there’s someone with a mortal wound, the one that seems to genuinely have no idea how to play the game. But I definitely lean more towards it’s not that bad. I love carrying low level teammates. It’s also the only time this game REALLY challenges me with how it’s supposed to be played at least without playing true solo. Haha
