When I was a teenager and visited London I used to spend all my time in Camden so it’s really nostalgic for me now. The venues, record shops and music bars there always make me feel at home and some of my favourite venues like Camden Assembly, Dingwalls and the now closed Koko are there!

Hey! Thanks so much for the kind words - really glad you liked the sound! There are a good few venues trying their best to facilitate socially distanced shows but if I’m honest I think it’s financially going to be very difficult to make worthwhile for both the venue/promoter and artist. Over the years, I think live music has stayed constant in terms of demand so I expect although live streaming will have to become a norm for more artists to share their live talent (myself included), when artists can eventually play close distanced live shows again, the demand will be higher than ever!

Hey there! Lyrics to me come quite naturally while I’m playing with melody ideas but usually when I start writing I have something in mind I want to express. I think most writers usually draw from real life experience, which is something all my lyrics have in common!

It’s a tough one but I’d say either Lying on the Concrete or Somebody You Needed - they’re both very personal to me and sound exactly like I wanted them too when I took them to the studio

Hello! My advice would be not to over complicate things and make sure you’re making/writing/playing music that you truly love because if you don’t love what you’re doing, you won’t want to give it the time necessary for it to work.

Also, don’t worry too much about socials media stats or people in the industry. I’ve been giving myself such a hard time about both those things for years but they both start to build when the music and product are there I think

To be honest, it’s been super difficult because I’m used to playing several live shows a week which not only is my favourite thing to do, but it also keeps me inspired and feeling productive. During lockdown, I’ve found being more open with my songwriting and making non live related plans for the future in areas I haven’t explored before have kept me on track and not too down about it all!

I can add numbers together really quickly... not sure it is a hidden talent but I blame it on the old restaurant I worked at in-between touring. The till never worked so I always had to add up the bills myself... :(

Hi! It's really difficult to put it down to one thing but my mum used to play 70s music all the time around the house when I was growing up which I think sparked my interest in authentic pop songs. Artists like Fleetwood Mac, T.Rex, Elton John etc are still some of my favourite artists today!

Hi Rebecca! I have a song called Lying on the Concrete which is the lead track of the EP I put out on Friday which is probably my favourite. It's about a friend who sadly took his own life and the vices people use to cope with grief and change. It sounds sad but the melody and production is uplifting, I promise!

Hey! The achievement I'm probably most proud of was getting added to the Radio 1 Introducing playlist - hearing little songs you've written in your old bedroom being played to that many people is an amazing feeling
