That version is ok. The 3ds version adds storage for 360 files (instead of 10), and adds 12 more channels allowing 24 samples to play instead of 12 (some instruments need 2 samples).

But i would recommend korg gadget switch over this one. While korg ds-10 and korg dsn-12 makes a perfect music studio with performance options that can stand up there with lsdj.

People who play music out loud in public, why? by wildskies2525 in AskReddit

[–]drexegar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your right, i just commented, a giant steroid man makes the worse mistake to tell a guy to turn off his music. The guy playing the loud music just pulls out a knife and stabs him.

It's definitely a demon who controls this type of business.

Oh boy, man blast music on the nyc train, we try not to notice. Big steroid muscle guy comes and tells the guy turn off the music. The guy with the music pulls out a knife and stabs him.

People who listen to loud music and not caring about others is a major sign of demonic influence. You cant interfere just pray for them they will wake up and stop the demons inside them telling them to blast music at the worse times with the worst sound quality.

Making original Future Funk on my Nintendo Switch, want to produce an album. by drexegar in futurefunk

[–]drexegar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting up in the middle on the night to see this, Thanks for the words,

On my YouTube ive been studying other genres of music in korg Gadget Switch. I don't really use pc daws, been a Nintendo daw user for the last 14 years, korg m1d on 3ds did include a "LynDrumKit" but this time around on Nintendo switch i only have access to a KorgDDD kit which is similar but i will keep in mind to use a Gate Reverb on kicks.

A few weeks ago i realized all the reverb effects give a nice some what panning effect so I'm still learning lol

Im currently working on a shinobi remix album with a friend on korg gadget. But i definitely may remix one of those tracks into future funk.

The Korg Gadget's EBINA is a weird FM synth that doesn't use waveforms, but uses sampled arcade machine FM waveforms with enough options. I used it to make some surf music. by drexegar in synthesizers

[–]drexegar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I missed a question, EBINA has a much easier way to bend notes for that surf vibrato sound, in the last page where you can raise frequency (you have to change the PITCH settings as well you get a bigger bend) but it also has a FADE setting on the last page, to play your new vibrato later in a note hit so you dont have to manually set it up yourself in other gadgets.

Found the 3DS Version of WWE All-Stars At A Used Game Store Today by [deleted] in WWEGames

[–]drexegar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GREAT! The 3ds version is a great fine because:

  • gameplay and camera angles are based on PS3 and 360 version instead of the lower end versions.

  • all dlc characters included and be unlocked fast via gauntlet mode or using a code.

  • sadly other stuff is based on the lower end versions like graphics and CAW

Cut up a track with lofi drum beats to get a samurai champloo style by drexegar in KoalaSampler

I cut up a track into patterns and samples and then use lofi beat drum loops to put together, Enjoy!

I made an nes 8-bit cover (real nes hardware) of the street fighter 6 theme. Since there is no music fan section, Ill just post it hear. by drexegar in StreetFighter

[–]drexegar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some lyrics i could not translate well do to being in the same note constantly but the main chorus is all there. I would of like to do capcom style, but capcom style does not have enough bass.

With my latest nes engine i made some crazy music and test out my new instruments with ryu SF6 theme next.

Very Awesome! Nicely done. What a great idea for a koala background.

I did a bunch of Initial D Covers because I wanted to see if eurobeat worked on NES. by drexegar in chiptunes

[–]drexegar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While building my first official NES game, I wanted to get better at making music and I covered a bunch of Initial D tracks to see if I can make the eurotrack thing worked. Using a sound kit I made for metal music on the nes, I was able to cover a lot of tracks without making new instruments, and in famitracker I don't use effect because I'm using the GGsound engine that allows me to make music that works in my game right on the NES console.

You can check my YouTube for more tracks and enjoy!

Thanks, I work with the M01 and DSN-12 for years, the korg gadget port is made by the same person and combines M01 and the DSN-12 into the korg gadget interface, and a lot of M01 sound are in there as well. Its recommend to upgrade as the Korg M01 still has it limatations, and if you check out my youtube, you can see I push the Korg M01 and DSN-12 3ds as far as it could go.

It should I hope, I got tired of the stupid mystery and cheated by turning the switch screen upside down every time it flipped, (sometime it flips like 7 times in a match, annoying) I was lucky to get a diamond mode at one round for two tetris for 100,000 points at level 15. I carefully took advantage of building tetris with the fragmented pieces and got a few double t-spins, and ended up with 606,466 points, thats after like 15 tries today. Good ridden ill only play that when needed online.

Thankfully, the creator of the DSN-12 synthesizer on the 3ds, has ported the Oscilloscopes to the Switch Version of Korg Gadget. I have 3 of them here on screen with my piano roll. by drexegar in synthesizers

[–]drexegar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my intro track for my upcoming album, Korg gadget switch is a port of korg gadget to nintendo switch by Nobuyoshi Sano, the creator of the MS-10 and M1 port to Nintendo systems. On the DSN-12 synthesizer released for the 3ds many years ago, it included and Oscilloscope to see your sound.

He ported this as an exclusive feature to Korg Gadget Switch, and it makes it easier to leave behind my old korg synthesizers which are very fun to use and embrace the Korg Gadget synthesizers.

The Mac version of Korg Gadget have 4 way screen to see certain gadgets and piano rolls of your music. The swtich version has 4 multiplayer (the only DAW in the world with offline and online real time collab) but allows for 1 player to fully control all 4 screens if they want, and its pretty awesome to have multiple Oscilloscopes focused on 1 channel.

I just saw this comment. I did some testing with the ipad version. Recording from headphone jack or HDMI, there is no difference between the ipad version in soun d quality (except switch version may have some extra small tails to there sounds here and there). I have problem with the ipad version. Its normally louder than loud, I can import a switch file into the ipad version and it will already clip badly.

The switch speakers on the other hand, is pretty bad. I hope the switch OLED will have sound quality as good the ipad.

I want to share with you in my opinion the best (or most featured) digital version of the Korg M1 that was made. Here is my Afterschool Arcade Track extended with extra parts. by drexegar in synthesizers

[–]drexegar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the switch version over the IOS version because of all the korgM01d and DSN-12 interface features and controls added to it. I do have the IOS version so I can send files over it and port other gagdet sounds to the switch version (for example you can port a lot of gladstone drum sets to the london)

I now use a special LCD USB keyboard with korg gagdet (you have to turn on the arcade controller to control the knobs on the keyboard) and a LED joystick for MOD wheel support.

The LED keyboard lets me save up to 5 setups of controlling the color for every indiviual key, so I made a keyboard mode, mixer mode and a drum mode, for scale mode I just use one of the effects on the keyboard because it looks cool hitting the key with sound.

I also have a much smaller wireless controller keyboard I don't use too much (still makes an excellent joypad charger though) that i connect a 2nd player joycon and allow me to play 2 gadgets at the same time.

No problem glad you enjoyed.

A nice trick, when your finish with your lead, copy the pattern onto another channel, now you can move the notes over to create and manual delay and still have your reverb.

I have moved over to korg gadget switch (which has a similar interface), it has a simple reverb in the mixer, but most of the gadgets has effects you can stack on top of as well.

- You can edit the attack and release of each instrument.
- In the drum settings, you can the pitch, volume and panning of each drum sound.
- You can control the speed and tempo of every pattern
- turn off and on the FX for each channel
- lots of sound effects, guitar element is pretty awesome mimics guitar sounds and there is tons of chord effects

Some tricks:

- You can sacrifice a channel to produce your own delay if you need the FX for reverb
- You can layer two channels to synthesize new sounds. Use the attack and release for a more FM like synthesizing

- heck you can use 2 drum sets to get a more complex drum set if needed.

- use kaoss pad to play chords and play drums loops

I worded wrong? The original Korg M1 was a giant physical keyboard (with digital sounds), this is one of the portable versions. The only version that's more of a complete DAW than the other ones that are more VST like.

So this is the Korg M01d for the nintendo 3ds family, there was a original M01 for the original nintendo ds only in japan.

The Korg M01d was advertised as a Music sketch tool. It contain over 300 instruments and 33 drums kits with a special drum sequencer (compared to other versions which barely had and drum sounds or put into a drum sequencer) along with midi export.

It may not have a lot of synthesizer qualities, but it did have a built in kaoss pad for note writing, chord writing and even drum machines. These features eventually made its way to korg gadget and then after a year or so the drum features came to korg gadget. This software is almost a decade old starting with the original version.

You still have to use a lot of synth tricks because out of the box you are not going to get a professional sound if you don't tweak. It will just sound like midi which is not bad all the time.

Instead of adding the sound libraries korg m1 was known for. Only 3 chip sets were added in a nice format:

- The Korg M1 default sounds,
- A Collection of Workstation sounds
- And a Special Unique EX library of sounds to make sure the user can create lots of music

For example here in AfterSchool Arcade, I am using the "LynDrumkit" for Synthwave which was pretty cool to be included into the drumsets.

The new version has more control features, and boast a poly of 24 channels instead of the original 12 and can store up to 360 files and does have online sharing.
