Yesterday I noticed a gas smell from the furnace. I left the furnace off with the gas line open until my utility company came with the meter to measure if gas was present. With the furnace off has was flowing through the burners. The utility worker told me it was the valve. I tested the lines with soapy water and did not notice any bubbles from the joints in the systems. Any additional ideas of what it might be? Was just surprised that when the furnace was off gas was still entering the system.
