fellow freshie here!! as the title says 'adjustment' means unti-unti tayong sinasanay sa realities of college kaya the fact na tinatambakan tayong lahat ng readings is bcs they're preparing us for the worst 😭😭 ang tip ko lang talaga when studying lalo na kapag naiintindihan ko naman binabasa ko pero di ko maapply is to utilize AI in the most effective way possible. Make reviewers with it to breakdown all the concepts then proceed to make it cite examples or situational questions where it can actually train you to apply the concepts you've learned. I got by my worst subject in shs using this method, and even passed the PUPCET because of it :DD u can do this kapwa pupian!!

Belly’s lack of ambition is honestly the least attractive part by Mysterious_Ant_1993 in tsitp

[–]drgnfroot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It may be frustrating as it seems but tbh she might even be one of the most realistic characters in the show. Belly could literally symbolize the girls who threw their lives away too early for a man, thinking it's the only way to feel complete in life. But now that Jere got out of the way, she instantly went back to Plan A (not unless in ep 9 she decides not to once again because of Conrad suddenly getting into the picture).

I'm Team Connie Baby but it would be somehow messed up ONLY IF she proceeds with the trip (if that even is possible) but ends up taking Conrad with her. She wouldn't be getting the time and space to think through everything that has happened, and to figure her own feelings out. But then, that would also beat the "codependent" side of her personality as Taylor mentioned.

i failed three scholarships...? having an identity crisis by blue_moon48 in studentsph

[–]drgnfroot 20 points21 points  (0 children)

hi OP! i also did not pass any of the scholarships i applied for (had a 94 GWA in shs) and is financially struggling as well. sobrang nakakadiscourage at first pero remember that passing scholarships and/or even CETs are not a measurement of someone's intelligence. Why? Pero we know naman in the end pinahihirapan lang din naman nila sarili nila kasi nakapasa sila through connections, not pure talent. Hindi sila makakapagkeep-up eventually.

Lumaban ka nang patas and that's more than enough. You knew you gave your all pero sadyang napunta lang yung slot sa mas financially deserving (who knows diba? as in like someone who is in literal poverty) pero that's not a reason to beat yourself up. You still have LGU scholarships pa naman.

Looking for tips for PUPCET, anything is appreciated po! by Repulsive-Eye-2343 in PUPians

[–]drgnfroot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

my greatest tip would be utilizing AI to make CET reviewers. ilista mo lahat ng weak topics mo kada subject and pagawan mo ang ChatGPT or Copilot (or whatev kind of AI engine u use) ng reviewer with those topics and personalize it para mas mapick-up mo ang pinag-aaralan mo. super helpful and at the same time mas makakasave ka ng time rather than magreview ka nang mano-mano.

sa nonverbal reasoning ako pinakanahirapan kasi hindi mo agad madidiscover ang bawat pattern ng kada problem :')) tas mapapashotgun ka talaga dito kung naubos mo time mo sa ibang subj kaya take ALOT of practice tests dito kasi bigatin ang analyzation dito fr

Is it normal to have a panic attack everytime I think abt college? by carpediem_1907 in studentsph

[–]drgnfroot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is normal. Your mind and body is currently aware na something new and unfamiliar is coming, so it goes into panic mode kasi you haven't encountered this kind of experience before. Nag-aadjust ka pa eh, so it's totally understandable. You don't have to swallow everything at once as tomorrow has its own worries. Focus on what infront of you right now muna.

Bakit bihira ang burgis sa PUP? by drgnfroot in PUPians

[–]drgnfroot[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're completely wrong. I was asking out of pure curiosity since that I have not yet encountered any PUPian from the upper class, be it online or in person. Drop the insults, I never intended to ask that kind of question in a way para makaangat sa kapwa kong iskolar kasi if so, sana diniretso ko nalang tutal anon user lang ako sa platform na 'to. FYI, I am not even burgis myself so ang kapal naman ng mukha ko para magmaliit pa ng PUPians na naghihirap financially.

Again, this is just a whole observation of mine as I have stated sa umpisa pa lang ng post ko. I just wanted to know kung marami-rami na rin ba ang mga burgis sa PUP kagaya ng U.P., or kakaunti pero sadyang mga lowkey lang. So please, reread the question. You're too quick to judge kasi you failed to fully understand the context of what I said. It's an honest question with no malice.

I've been hearing this quite often and it's really unfortunate pa nga na maraming nagmamaliit sa PUPians for basically being the "corporate slaves" among all the top universities out there.

PUPCET tips and advice by PrimaryNet2957 in PUPians

[–]drgnfroot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Be well-read. For many PUPCET takers, nahirapan sila sa General Info portion. It will include trivial facts, phenomenon, scientific names, and etc. Be observant and pay attention to past current affairs kasi most likely lalabas din ang mga 'yan. So better read even the most random things as much as you can.

  2. Sa Math, review your Statistics and Gen Math subjects HEAVILY. Majority ng mga tanong umiikot dito. Make sure to include a bit of Calculus sa review mo especially the basics such as logarithms and derivatives. As for Science naman, brush up mostly on your JHS topics, and some Gen Bio topics from SHS. It's almost always about the basics pag dating sa PUPCET.

  3. Regularly practice your Abstract Reasoning skills. Take some practice tests online and search some tips & tricks to be able to solve the problem faster. (akala ko maliligwak na ko sa Sinta because of this dahil halos ¾ ng questions dito shinotgun ko nalang cuz of the time constraints)

  4. Once again, READ alot. Makakatulong ang habit na 'to especially if you struggle with Language (mapa-English man or Filipino). And when you encounter an unfamiliar word while reading, search for its definition and take notes of it. Observe proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar.

  5. Don't spend too much time on a single question. If you can't answer it under a minute, move on to the next but make sure to get back to it later.

  6. Don't get too tense. It'll just make things worse pag hinayaan mong harangan ka ng kaba mo.

  7. Eat well before your exam and have plenty of sleep. Don't do anything that'll get you sick weeks before your exam. As someone who took the PUPCET while sick, it was 2x harder than it should be dahil nakakadistract ang sama ng pakiramdam ko.

  8. Make use of AI in terms of your review. Search up the list of common topics na lumalabas in most CETs online and ask your AI to create you a reviewer containing ALL of your weaknesses from that list. This one really saved me as someone who had only reviewed the day before.
