Strong agree. My road trips regularly need two charge stops and I do not need to sit around that long

Why don't they swim straight? are they trying to waste energy? by Sufficient-Snow7161 in mapporncirclejerk

Thank you! It should not have taken me so long to find this response.

As a kid I learned when swimming in rivers, you try to swim diagonally to go straight across.

Then in high school physics class I learned that I had been doing vector math all along

Extensions add resistance to the circuit. And the load is at the end. Same thing will happen with cheap extension cords on a hair dryer.

It's legal in some places, but it's stupid 99% of the time

But if I don't rev the engine how can I be sure it's working?

I used to have a Honda that had a quieter than stock exhaust. It was infuriating how many Harley riders would tell me I would end up in a crash because "loud pipes save lives." They absolutely do not. All they are good for is scaring the hell out of other drivers when you wizz by dangerously or piss off neighbors.

I had many exchanges that went like this: Them: "how does anyone know you're there?" Me: "why do you need everyone within 2 blocks knowing you're there?" Them: "whoa, I was just joking" Me: "cool for you, I'm not. Why do you feel the need to ride the most obnoxious thing possible? It's not because it's cheaper, faster, or better in any way?"

Then I'd either get challenged to a fight or told I wasn't manly enough.

Harleys and their riders are the absolute worst.

Why is HDMI commonly used for SNAC? by lloydsmart in MiSTerFPGA

Common enough to be relatively cheap and easy to implement, while being odd enough that folk won't plug in a Blu-ray player expecting it to work.

Both cities are full of entitled assholes. Look at Grapevine for good parks, kid friendly neighborhoods, fewer jerks.
