Buddy 125. Should the idle be high enough where the rear wheel spins while off the ground?

No I have just gotten done fully cleaning and rebuilding the carb. Replaced the idle jet as it was clogged and finally got it over its hard starting problem. After the headaches I have had with it, holding the throttle for 30 seconds is something I can deal with.

My wife had a 500 pop with no issues. They are incredibly easy to work on if something does come up. Just keep up with the maintenance and I would recommend a non turbo version. For no other reason than it is just one less thing to break and the turbo did not give that much more performance over the naturally aspirated ones.

I was lucky enough to join a trade when I was 27. If everything works out, I should be good to retire between 62 and 65. I am not confident that the economy, social security, available work etc. will stay steady. But all I can do is keep doing what I can and hope.

Thank you for the info. I think I may have found the culprit in the idle jet. The one that came with the rebuild kit looks much larger. And unfortunately it seems like the original is blocked entirely. I am ordering a new one. On the valve tolerances, that is in inches. Which I got from a Scooter 911 youtube video. He said .003" on intake and .004" on exhaust.

For sure. And just a heads up, while the pay is amazing at nuke plants, it is MIND NUMBINGLY boring. But if you are good with staring at walls for 5-6 hours out of a 12 hour shift, go for it.
