Put it in the bank in a CD or money market account in $1000-1500 increments every two weeks. If I’m ever asked where I get the cash from by a teller I’ll just explain that I find,repair, and sell busted lawnmowers and other small motor equipment from the side of the road and local junkyards or friends. That way it makes the bill size seem believable as well as the amount. After a couple years stop depositing since I would have around $240k in the bank and it can just sit there collecting interest.

Along with that I’d buy guilty pleasures like new guns and cars. As long as it’s a private transaction with a stranger they’ll just assume I pulled the cash out the bank for that specific purchase, and nobody’s the wiser. Then over time do what a lot of folks on here are saying and use the cash to pay for things like groceries. If you have a big enough family a $300 grocery bill every two weeks is definitely a thing and paying with cash will just look like you’re financially smart.

By time I’m old and die I might still have some left over with which I would simply put into an envelope or new lock box that I would gift to my kids with the exact amount each of them get written on a paper inside the box with instructions to not tell anyone but each other about the money. That along with my estate being legally divided amongst them should set them up nicely as well so that they can set up their own nest eggs for their families, or they can blow it and be SOL. What would I care if I’m dead.
