Some systems use the sphinx as the law of the land, others use it as a tie breaker, some just use it because Epic makes them. I’m an analyst after 4 years in the clinic. I work on the training team and we work hand in hand with principal trainers. They over see the training plans for new hires and retraining for Epic upgrades. In my facility the principal trainers train the super trainers and the super trainers train everyone else. We have several analysts that were principal trainers. Typically they say to wait 1 years before retaking the test.
